Previously when he's been talking to Brian Kenny he has got a bit heated. Didn't see any of that when they recently spoke about the Ortiz fight. Is he now a generally calmer person or is he trying to change the publics perception of him being a brash indidvidual in light of the court cases and controversy surronding him recently? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DStxzkMKCSE&feature=youtu.be
It wont last long. He will turn into the real Floyd(*******) as soon as someone starts criticizing him.
That's right. He was the nice guy against JMM, but when he was up against a legit threat in Mosley, the knives came out. That's what he's doing here with Ortiz. He knows the kid hasn't got a hope in hell of mounting a serious challenge, and so he's giving him a pat on the head, and treating him like the nice little pawn he is.
He's acting all nice and respectful at the press conference. Odd. Still lying though, saying he's never ever tried to discredit Pac's career, lol lying through his teeth on that one. My guess is it's all an act, all the criticism has got to him and he's trying hard to gain some sympathy from fans and change the public opinion that he is to blame for the Pac fight not happening.
good luck if he is. there is only one way he can change the public perception of him... ...but theres a test involved
Credit where credit is due. While its entirely possible Floyd could start his antics again, I see changes in him. He seems like he has been working on his life. Nobodies perfect in life ever and you need to grow at all times. To me he seems like he may have been getting some anger management and counseling for all the problems that have come his way. Which is a fantastic idea for this guy with all the legal doom surrounding him. Call me impressed. I thought Brian Kenny was going to faint, he seemed really shocked he couldn't drag Floyd into an argument. It seems to me Floyd is doing what it takes to straighten himself out and move forward with his life. I'm happy for him to hear he's getting closer to his family and his children are living with him. That says a lot really. Time will tell on the rest.
Yeah hes trying to win over the fans and get the ball back in his court. Hes childish, not stupid, he realizes that his act was wearing on people. He sees how it works for Oscar and Pacquiao and he want to be regarded in that way.
Why would he care about public perception? He's successful, famous and filthy rich. The last thing he's going to worry about is what a few bums who never made it will think about him.
