Is freddie roach underestimating Hatton??

You seem extremely confident in the illusion of Ricky's size advantage. Look at the tale of the tape. They have identical frames. Ricky gets fatter in the off season though. Does Ricky have a plan if Pac size and strength end up to be more than what he expected? This is why I think Pac Knocks him out. I could be wrong and also see Hatton Knocking Pacman out.

I'd bet what Roach says when the cameras are off is completely different to what he says when they're on.
I mean to think that these guys would tell exactly what they're thinking on a program that the other side can watch is a little daft no?

 

I always thought Hatton kind of fought like Freddie did when he was active, so I am sure Freddie knows exactly how to beat him.

I don't think those stats are true. I have read around a lot, and everybody is saying that hatton is bigger and has a bigger reach, and just when they stand next to each other you can see the size difference, I think the pac-tards are at it again. Its a shame his fans are so biased, because I really admire pacman and his sense of pride and just how he is.

Personally yeah I think freddie roach is just talking about how he wishes hatton was to be honest, I think the more you under-rate a fighter like hatton then the more he is going to try and prove you wrong. But either way. Saturday here we come!!!!

 

roach isn't underestimating hatton, he's exactly right. ricky's the same guy he's always been, albeit throwing a few more jabs and stuff like that. Hatton isn't Floyd Mayweather all of a sudden, he's the same guy with the same style, except perhaps tweaked up a bit. Manny is a 10x better fighter, and that's all there is to it.

 

From what Roach has said about Hatton publicly then yes, he is underestimating Ricky. Whether or not he really believes that Hatton is one dimensional and has a poor defence, is a different matter. But if he has told Pacquaio that Hatton is not a great fighter then it could come back to haunt him.
But Freddie is too smart to really believe that.
