How long are you going to be holding to other people's opinions of that fight. The fact is GGG legitimately lost a close fight. It happens. It's in the books and it's time to move on.

He’d of just been avoided for ever though,Canelo would of waited him some more.
My regrets about him is that he could of turned pro earlier but regardless of that those bloody lost years in Germany.

Depends who you ask. He’s overrated by people who said he was gonna beat Jacobs and Canelo easily - went 1-1 with Canelo and won a controversial decision over Jacobs. Very good fighter but hasn’t done enough (yet) to be in the conversation with ATGs mentioned in this thread.

Lol I’ll be honest here seeming ast though you’ve noticed it,it’s all I can do since I’ve not seen it,can say from listening on the radio it sounded extremely close albeit BBC had it by a round and Andrade two.
Sounds too close call imo and my initial reaction was a nailed on draw but what do I know?didnt the majority think It was another contentious decision albeit no robbery.

GGG will destroy Hopkins at 160. No way prime Hopkins can do any serious trouble to prime GGG.
    RJJ is a different story.
Hagler would not beat easily GGG, it will be interesting competitive 50/50 fight. Doubt though that there will be knockouts.

Simple answer his hell to the no

He is mostly a hype job, record is extremely padded.

Starting from his amateur career which you should know is fabricated, he lost more than 5x thats indisputable and has been recorded.
He probably never came close to 300 wins either and even if he did, fighting local level fights isn't a special achievement.

He also lost when it matters most and decisively in the Olympic Gold medal match he was severly outclassed.

Very good fighter mind you, but not an ATG. Not even the greatest of his own era ffs.
Never dared to be great. Bested by blokes he was heavily favoured to beat in his biggest moments

Would have got thumped if he tried to fight someone he was meant to lose to, and will if Callum Smith lines him up.

Nah. It's time to start giving GGG his credit man. I for one was one of his biggest detractors on this site, but his fights with that pit bull of a fighter Canelo Alvarez, he's certainly changed my perspective of him. He's an Elite talent that could take a punch just as good as he can give one. He's earned my respect.

The list of So called Top Fighters who avoided Golovkin when he was in His Prime was put up on here once and at one stage no one wanted anything to do with Him.....He is past his Prime for sure but with His outstanding Amature Career and his deeds as a Pro he will go down as one of the most Feared Middleweights we have seen for some time...

Golovkin in the First Fight defeated Canelo easily....Most knowledgeable Boxing Fan's know this...second fight was much closer for sure but the first fight was Boxing corruption at his best......for people to call A truly great Fighter like Golovkin a Hype job just makes you wonder what possible motives they have to say that....the First fight he gave Canelo a lesson end of story..

    STFU **** breathe

Hype job is exactly what he is.

Built up by the media with a **** weak resume and got whooped by a dwarf. Didn't even fight the best fighters of his era. Always a weight bully.

Still not going to fight anyone decent except for the dwarf.

Claims to have some middleweight defense record when he only had a secondary title lol
