So...according to the resident turn sniffer Scar.. I still kept support for Margarito despite him not even trying to show. any proof. And I claimed Ward 'petrified' when I said he was injured as well as having promoter issues. Someone send this idiot the book, "Reading for Floyd Fans"...

Wards victories were pitiful victories. Holding, bending, head butting, elbows, low blows etc

Isn't it funny that GGG said he would bend over backwards for Floyd, he said he would have no problem killing himself to make 154 for a Mayweather fight since that according to him was a "dream fight" but he refused to go up to 168 to fight Ward for 50/50? Now, granted he'd make a ton more $$ going down to 154 to fight Mayweather than moving up to fight Ward, but he would have been lucky to even get anything close to 50/50 for Mayweather. He'd probably have to agree to like 20% / 80% to fight Mayweather at 154 and becoming a corpse in the process and he'd still probably make more $$ doing that than getting 50/50 vs Ward.

But to turn down an offer to fight Ward for 50/50, for GGG and his team to believe he deserves more than 50% vs Ward when Ward was undefeated. Neither Ward or GGG were anything close to the cash cow that Mayweather was, so given that GGG and Ward were both undefeated still in their prime and far from the biggest cash cow in the sport (Mayweather, or even Canelo for that matter who's a close second compared to GGG or Ward) 50/50 seems like a fair offer for a GGG Ward match at 168. I'm guessing the 50/50 offer was to be at 168 lbs and was when Ward was still fighting at 168 before Ward moved up to 175.

Good fighter but his resume a bit thin at the higher levels. Facing these guys would correct that!

Didn't you say "One guy said no, one guy said yes"?, what does that suggest?. Moron.

The only pitiful victories are the ones against hopeless opponents and Golovkin's entire career is based on that.

So you're deluded enough to expect Ward to move down in weight to fight a guy who doesn't have a single noteworthy opponent on his record?. Additionally, do you even think it's a rational move for someone settled at his current weight for nearly 4 years to move down all of a sudden?. If Golovkin seriously wanted it, he would have moved up to Light Heavyweight for it. Didn't Hopkins do the same against Tarver?, didn't Alvarez do the same against Kovalev?. Didn't Ward do the same for Kovalev?. Didn't Brook do the same to give The Tomato Can Devourer the payday he has been begging smaller guys to give him?. Didn't Spinks do the same against Holmes?. Didn't Mosley do the same against De La Hoya?. Didn't Pacquiao do the same against De La Hoya?. The examples are endless, but you sure as hell won't see Golovkin's name on any list involving serious risks.

... who he previously called out to fight at said weight? Yes.

... to go down to 154 to fight Floyd? No, but GGG was willing to do that anyway. See the double standards?

... agreed to fight Ward at the weight that Ward had demanded, a weight favouring Ward, the bigger man? The same weight Ward had fought for nearly his entire career? I guess that's exactly what he did.

    Here's Ward's reply:

Golovkin spent his entire career chasing the nr 1 spot at MW. How anyone can fault him for that is beyond me.

But there is truth to him never risking it. And it will haunt his legacy.

Ward has already been at Light Heavyweight for nearly 4 years when this interview happened. Don't expect him to move down to fight a farce that has zero notable victories and doesn't even offer a proper payday for it either. You have to be seriously mentally out of it to believe this garbage.

His management's approach was to make the most money and take the least amounts of risks, and it worked really well for them despite only headlining 3 PPVs(one was primarily sold based on his name and it failed). He never had to take serious risks and made a lot of money, there is nothing wrong with that in a business perspective. However, I have a serious problem with his fans who regularly try to hype him as some type of ATG when in reality he isn't and not even close to it either. Hell I see morons trying to convince me that Andre Ward ducked this guy. ATGs take risks and take on challenges they aren't expected to win. They move up in weight when the option is available and bring the public serious fights. All this guy did was call out smaller opponents and was hailed a hero for it. If Hopkins, Roy Jones, Pacquiao, Mayweather...etc called out smaller opponents, they would be butchered for it nonstop. Even Calzaghe, who was criticized for staying only at SMW properly cleaned out his division and moved up to fight Hopkins. Sure, some people will say Hopkins was 40+, but he was still an extremely dangerous opponent that not many(myself included) thought Calzaghe would beat.
