witter is in the same category as tarver was before he fought roy. he just wants his chance to shine against hatton, who many people believe is the best fighter at 140.

witter is hungry and has the style to make anyone look bad. if you guys don't think hatton is ducking witter then wake up. this fight is a huge fight in england so i don't know why this fight has not happened yet.

It's not. That's the thing. No bigger than Hatton against anyone else. Witter's title adds something to the mix I guess. But then so would Malignaggi's.

It's not huge in England, nobody knows who Witter is.

He fights on Froch undercards. :rofl

Grant1...nobody at 140 is really deserving of a number one ranking if hatton were to retire. look at the top fighters we have at 140...Kendall Holt, Demetrius Hopkins, Andreas Kotelnik, Paul Malinaggi, Ricardo Torres, and Juan Urango just to name a few. out of that bunch...who would YOU put as number 1 if Hatton were to retire?

You guys can say what you want about Witter but he has faced some credible opponents. He's beaten former champions in Vivian Harris, Lovemore Ndou, and Demarcus Corley. He's also beaten current WBA champ Andreas Kotelnik.

only Hatton could know. But now Witter has a belt (and a better belt imo), he should fight him. Think maybe Hatton is only looking for the glam fights ($) now.

there's no other title holder at 140 deserving of a shot at ricky hatton than junior witter.

hatton has dropped back down to 140...there's no glam fight out there for him at that weight class. hatton should make the fight so we can see who really is the best in England.
