If anything I hope Hopkins retires before he's ever knocked out. That's something I don't want to see.
Im a huge hopkins fan but the best thing for boxing right now would be for pavlik to win convincingly.
could be a good thing might show all these de la hoyas, jones jr and hopkins that fighters over and past it really are the down part of the sport, i use to love hopkins fighting now its border line pathetic, (i know its harsh) boxing is a sport where fans use to love to prime fighters getting in the ring like cotto and margarito, now its fights like hopkins vs pavlik come on evreybody knows this is pavliks fight! instead of a pavlik calzaghe we get pavlik hopkins and calzaghe jones
I honestly feel that emotions are driving your predictions in this fight, nobody can beat father time, nobody ever has with out going through hell to get it, I dont think this is the fight that will end up with that fair tale foreman like ending to it. I dont see Bernard making it to the cards in this fight. he was hurt with body shots by Calzaghe
i really dont see bernard even being buzzed or hurt by pavlik because even he does get hit he's still able to roll and reduce the impact of most the punches and he holds his chin down and doesnt wag it in the air to get hit.
I'd be surprised if he knocked him out. Pavliks handlers are claiming he will. The only thing that makes a stoppage even plausible is Hopkins age. He looked like he was running out of steam against Calzaghe and he's not getting any younger. Sometimes age seems to rear its ugly head in a single night.
I don't think so. Hopkins is still very hard to hit. If Pavlik is going to win it's going to be his work rate that earns him a decision.
