I didn't say he did. But what he discribed was more that Eddie Futch move.

Sorry, I hope you'll see where I've slipped up (no pun intended)

I thought you were commenting on what I'd predicted :good You know what punch I'm talking about right?

And I can see exactly why you've had this hypothesis as well, good call.

Yeah, i know mate. Duran was sick with it. No one mixed offense and defence better.

Pulled back from in close and shot the uppercut up, lovely.

As for his ability; the best all-round fighter of all time, especially considering how much footage there is of him exhibiting said talents.

He didn't even need to pull back. What he did was so subtle. He could maintain his forward momentum and still slip punches and fire back simultaneously.

But I'm talking of it when he's working with the one hand in close. You see it in the first Leonard fight a bit whenever he gets his left hand tied up.

In free flow, the guy was insane, for all the reasons you mentioned, but IMO it all comes down to his feinting and how his feet were in such a close relationship with it, the opportunity, angle and execution all came in a split second, and that was an instinctive beast coupled with the brilliant minds of Arcel & Brown (in terms of skillset, more Brown). One look and boom, you'd been hit and he was all over ya', he could miss the left seemingly on purpose and cut straight across with the right, or a body shot......the maddest blend of defensive slickness and offensive variety and had the most looks a fighter could give outside, mid-range or in close, he could take away the jab, had a great jab himself, could counter punch, swarm, carried power in both fists, and knew how to nullify his opponents strengths (Palominos left hand for instance) with little shifts in positioning in his body and feet.

And underrated performance for me was his patient dissection, of Guts. Disarmed him quickly, took him apart, and took him out, cool as a cucumber.

Oh, and he was ****in' nails as well  Was always an offensive beast but really tuned up going into the mid-70s. His performance against Barkley showed it all, the skills, the grit, the bravado, and the nous.

His team were ****in' old school and were blessed with a boy with incredible natural ferocity and fighting talent who was receptive to their encyclopedia of pugilistic tricks.

The best fighter I've ever seen.

thanks for te info guys. no coach taught me it, i sort of taught myself working on the bags. another one i like is also to bob right to left but incredibly close to the opponent and lrotate your uperbody to throw a left hook. opponent thinks he is safe but again rotate the body as you normally would and you are throwing a tight left hook they dont see to the head. lovely mopve too.

i like training qwith a mate. do 3 rounds of light inside work. 1 round 1 atacks and the other defends then vice versa and then 1 round both just fight on inside ad hoc. never break, try not to hold on . good technical sparring.

or maybe 1 only throws left hands etc etc. loads of stuff you can do.

I'm pretty sure Duran eradicates Floyd inside a few rounds.

Well, people with eyes know that. Mayweather fans are blinded by their love. Apparently the shoulder-roll defeats all.

Duran would feint shots out of him piece of ****. Unlike Shane, he wouldn't relent. Horrific matchup for 'Money'.

  13. All you've got to do to beat Duran is move :deal
