Williams didn't lose to Cintron. And 2 things you forget about Williams that makes Floyd a ducker:

    1. Williams called out Floyd more than once while at WW. Floyd never metioned Williams name until he said he wanted to fight the winner of Williams Martinez. What happened?

    2. Williams isn't promoted by Top Rank. Never was. He's also managed by Al Haymon. That should've made the fight easier to make. And don't come with this "Williams lost" crap. When fighters fight they lose and Floyd didn't have a problem with fighting Judah who came directly off of a loss.

bottom line - if floyd fought pac a year or so ago then all 'ducking demons' could be put to bed and floyd could retire to his farm and his rocking chair.

none of the 'floyd ducked margo...floyd ducked williams' sticks then if the pac fight went ahead.

you got to remember that in this day and age fights we want to see are going to get royally ****ed uprepeatedly

you guys are idiots. floyd never ducked anyone. what if floyd prefers fighting GBP in-house fights? those guys are greater than those WW guys. delahoya would have smashed poochiao. hatton would have made cotto quit and marquez would have stopped margarito. oh wait, ortiz would have exposed martinez.

and floyd deserves to take a vacation. he wins fights in reality or in fantasy so what can you ask more from floyd?

If you're judging how hot the division was based on who had lost to who then it's worth pointing out that in the 18 months before he retired Margarito lost to Williams, Mosley lost to Cotto and Williams lost to Quintana.

When he came back Pacquaio and Mosley were there and both were in the top 3 P4P, he then fought the P4P#2 as his comeback fight and got zero credit for it despite a faded version of that fighter beating the P4P#1 at that weight in a lot of peoples eyes 2 years later.

    :good

Lol.. U can't be serious. Floyd would get raped by Duran or Leonard.

Again with the Arum excuse. Floyd is just as much to blame.. If he really wanted those fights he could have gotten together with Arum n Top Rank n made it happen. You don't need to like someone to do business with them.

LMFAO @Ortiz would have exposed Martinez. Holy **** ur a funny guy!

Everyone knew based on styles Mayweather was bad for Marquez. Marquez shines against oppenents willing to trade n take risks. Floyd pop shotted JMM for 12 rounds. It was exactly what most expected. He does get credit though as most articles I read afterwards said it was a brilliant performance and I agree.

Maybe but that is lost now even if he beats Pacquiao, he took the easy road while the other guys beat on each other. Of course, Williams, Margarito, Pacquiao, and Cotto are past it and almost done and Floyd's still in good form but that's only because those guys expelled energy fighting each other.

If Cotto would not have fought Margarito and Pacquaio, two fighters Floyd haven't fought neither, he'd be undefeated just like Floyd.:think:yep

To compound the issue he ended up fighting 4 of 7 guys at welter coming off just one or no fights at the weight. If he goes on to fight the likes of Guerrero, Khan, Morales his welter resume will look like a joke and there will be no hiding from the scrutiny it will be put under by future generations. The guy could have fought anyone he wanted after the DLH fight, being the #1 P4P and a cash cow.
