Bert sugar angel Rogan were/are both great but completely different animals. Bertwas a show mancould we have a great yard yarnand did a fantastic job of promoting the sport. Joe Rogan super knowledgeableand provides great commentary. Many announcers today could learn an enviable lessonand at times letting the actions speak for itself. Rogan is also very honest.

Though different in many ways they do share the common trait of respecting the athletes they cover. There are many in this forum should fall follow their example.any of these keyboardtough guys should respect the sacrifices and the risks they face.

In the beginning he was favoring modern boxers over old timers, I am talking about him back in the 1960's and 1970's. He switched due to there being a lack of people defending older fighters, so he went where the money and publicity was.
He was a publicist as much as anything else . He did what he had to to promote himself and the sport. He had Tyson as 2nd greatest of all time till Tyson lost, then he started saying Tyson was not so good.
