Is it just me or does the build up to the Haye fight seem relatively low key so far?

Whats the deal with the face off thing. I really think Sky should look to show this. Bit of a wasted opportunity if in the UK you can only see it on youtube.

When Haye did the whole head cutting off thing a couple of years ago it got everyone talking. Then the fight didn't happen. They haven't come up with anything so attention grabbing for the hype this time round and alot of people may be disillusioned from all the failures to make the fight happen over the last 2 years. I still think it's going to be big though, I went to WH smith to get the new Ring mag, which has a Haye/Wlad cover, and there were only 3 copies left, and a couple of boxing monthlys, usually the boxing mags in Cannock end up getting sent back there's not enough readers. The average man on the street must be thinking about it.

They have both been on BBC Breakfast in the morning. Do we have a really big chatshow anymore that both could go on? :D It's going to be huge.

Haye seems quiet when Wlas is around, but if he's being interviewed alone seems more lively.....

So far it hasn't taken a hold of anyone I know. In fact a few I know have already made plans to go out that night.

People should already be talking about it and planning to stay home, get people round etc

One good thing about the UFC, who boxing could learn alot from, is fight week. Dana White does a blog every day, you got the expo, you got the weigh ins as an event, you got the countdown preview, you got the full countdown etc So when I'm not hyped for an event, fight week often makes me take notice of every fight, get hyped etc

PS - I checked earlier and its not on my box office via my sky box yet.

I think that lots of people know about the fight already and as others have said there's no need to overhype a fight that has it;s own merits.

We're not in the football season (after watching the under 21s earlier they will be leaving Denmark soon), and there's no Olympics so not so much need to push it in advance anyway.
