    The logic still remains. By your logic Ortiz performed better than Khan did against Maidana. I just don't see how Broner did better when he clearly lost and when Mayweather won.

    @Stylez G.

    I'm not referring to the outcome of either fight Mayweather won and Broner lost, but Broner did better in spots, and yes you can say both Khan and Ortiz had better success in spots against Maidana than Mayweather did, however those fights were years ago. I drew comparisons between Mayweather-Broner vs Maidana because they were recent and Maidana is a different fighter now than he was then. I just feel that Broner had some moments in the Maidana in which he had him hurt, and Mayweather was never close to stopping or even hurting Maidana.

    I thought Broner had more success pressuring Maidana, pushing him back, fighting on the inside and landing the harder body shots than did Mayweather.

    Well then shouldn't the thread title be that Broner did better in spots than Mayweather? Saying Broner did better than Mayweather implies that he did better overall. And I was comparing Ortiz's performance against Khan's. By your logic, Ortiz did better than Khan did against Maidana. Now if we change it to, Ortiz did better in spots than Khan did against Maidana, it makes more sense. And if Broner had more success pressuring Maidana, pushing him back, fighting on the inside, and landing the harder body shots than Mayweather, his fight with Maidana would've been a lot closer.

    After being floored twice in the fight, Broner had nothing to loose. So he fought like a man with nothing to loose. Floyd didn't hurt Chino, and Chino didn't hurt Floyd, sure he gave Floyd problems with his pressure and punch out put, but he didn't hurt him. So there was no reason for Floyd to get that killer instinct, that Broner had against him. So I wouldn't say Broner fought Chino better, considering Broner took more punishment, got floored twice, and lost the fight.

    wow... so pbf didnt land straight lefts to the body at will or check hooks that clear twisted maidana head back plenty of times with cleaner more accurate and non wasted arm punches?

    and i honeslty believe that broner is a bigger guy than floyd and floyd had a 17 pound wait disadvantage vs maidana.

    wtf are you looking at really?

    Broner managed to stagger Maidana very early in the final round with 1 punch and had him retreating .

    Despite Floyd landing his signature right hand many times , he never came close to hurting Chino .

    Not really surprising , Floyd just cant bang ..

    I don't disagree with anything you said in your first paragraph. Mayweather landed the more telling blows during the fight, it just seemed like they were far and few in between. I think he relied way too much on his defense, so much that it hindered his offensive output, although Maidana's workrate had something to do with that.

    ....in Broner's case, he was much more offensive and hardly defensive at all, which why despite him losing, it appeared to me he had more offensive success against Maidana. Sounds crazy I know, and maybe it is, just an opinion.

    Very true about Floyd not being able,to bang but the big difference with. Floyd and. Broner is that Floyd doesn't panic under pressure ..Broner does this is why Maidana couldn't really hurt F loud like he did Broner .

    @Styles G.

    The first paragraph in my opening says it all. Many people glossed right over what I was actually saying, and read something else. The title is what gets you in the thread, but if some people who visited this thread actually read what I said in opening, they would have seen that's all I was really saying from the start. That is Broner did better in spots.
