Floyd honored the contracted the weight for Marquez. Nontheless, Marquez shouldn't have asked for a catchweight. Catchweights are BS. What did was wrong however, because he failed to make the established weight for his division, kinda of how Pac failed to make weight when he was a flyweight.

They both failed to make weight, Pacquiao failed twice. You can't say Broner wasn't trying. The fact that Broner rehydrated 14 pounds shows you he did try and make weight but couldn't

Fact is, this is done all the time. Quite often both are over.

In the Thurman-Lora bout, both were over 147.

it aint ok but what happens when you miss the weight ?

you lose the belts and you pay fines and the other fighter more money.

he did the crime and he paid the price, now people want to go over board with the **** so im going to help them jump over board.

escobedo's team actually gave broner a chance to lose a couple of pound up to 131.5 and it's ok. but broner never intended to lose it and drank water instead. they gave them a second chance to weigh 140 the morning of the fight and broner still failed. from that point on, it was pure power play and escobedo was forced to fight.

Floyd didn't even have to agree to 144lbs....much less the penalty...

JMM didnt have any leverage whatsoever..

JMM better be glad he wasn't fighting Oscar...his ass wouldn't have got ****..:deal

this is why *****s are considered to be the most ******ed group of fans here in ESB. damn idiots. now it's jmm should have the token of gratitude that floyd considered to fight him at 144 but it's ok that floyd missed it since jmm has no leverage. ****ing *****s! :-(

Well Pac fans do get mad when people say that Pac won his 2 or 3 catchweight fights so easily cause of the catchweights and Pac fans have always countered that it wouldn't have a difference anyhow.......The Broner fans have claimed that Broner coming in at 130 or 133 wouldn't have made the difference in the Escobedo fight and same with Floyd/JMM 2 pound overweight issue.

Certain posters on both sides have made the same argument for their fighter and contradicted themselves when it comes to a fighter they don't like.
