Is it possible for Crawford to emerge from tomorrow night with any credit?

The same Morales who went on to almost beat Danny and Maidana who took Floyd into deep waters and arguably beat him even after being forced to wear pillows? That Morales?

It’s not like Brook is pushing 40. He’s 34. Not prime but not completely done yet.

I don't know those two posters.

Does your statement work in converse? So the people who do give credit to Pac for those wins, should also give credit to Crawford if he beats Brook?

    Boils down to 2 things:

If you don’t like Crawford it’s for personal reasons. In that case you will minimize the win by saying “Brook is past his best” or “GGG took what was left of him”.

If you aren’t biased or you like Crawford you will give him credit for the win unless Brook looks like complete ****.

There isn’t much in between. Many fight fans are closet racists and use those feelings to influence their opinions. They’ll just never admit it but it’s easy to spot when it reveals himself. I can honestly see why someone would dislike Broner or Tank Davis. Those guys are repugnant POS’s but Crawford just doesn’t enter that territory.

Hard to see Crawford getting much credit for this. It would be if Brook racks up some good wins at WW after, but I doubt he will stay at the weight if he loses. And even if he does good work at 154 after this, the word will be that he was drained at 147.

This is a fight about money for Crawford, not legacy. With that said, Brook might still be a really good WW, at least for a one time performance, even if he won't get credit for that unless he wins or pushes Crawford very close.

When you reach p4p territory no one cares who you beat unless it’s another p4p fighter. Even if your win is over a guy who beat Shawn Porter. Which is sad but this is just how some people are.

    No.
Kell is old and the last good fighter he faced bashed his face in.
He was very talented but his promotor manipulated him into making poor career choices and as a result has only 1 great win.
    Now it's too late.
If Crawford wants credit he has to face Pac or Spence .

Was a long time ago since Brook beat Porter, nowadays he isn't even ranked. Now, he might still be good enough to be highly ranked, but we just don't know.

Pac is soon 42 and wouldn't get him much credit at this stage. Yes, the Thurman win was great, but Pac will be another two years older or more if he ever faces Bud. Thurman and Porter would be decent wins, but nothing special since they've already lost to others in the division. Spence, or Garcia if he beats Spence, is the only one who would add anything really substantial.

I mean if we are at the point where we won’t credit Bud for beating Brook or Pacquaio what are we even talking about here? If he beats Thurman then it’s “oh he lost to Pacquaio anyway, he’s not the same since the injuries”. See how this goes? We can’t have a sport where a guy only get credit for beating one god damn fighter - Errol Spence.

Nothing to simmer, just asking if your statement works in reverse.

Let me know when your ban is over.
