Surely it Eddie who should be annoyed if it ends up on Sky. I know Eddie likes to pretend he owns Sky, however his UK rival and US rivals will be promoting a show on his channel.

I’m sure Frank is absolutely buzzing at the prospect of his BT paymasters looking at his contract and telling him to do one after yet more fighters flee him like rats from a sinking ship and his biggest name fights on their biggest rival.
Really. Frank Warren has a deal with BT sport. A Wilder v Fury fight doing huge numbers on PPV generating revenue for Sky isn't a good look. Yes Warren does well out of it as does Fury but to think BT wouldn't be at least slightly pissed is laughable. I mean let's flip it around. Say AJ fought Wilder in 2020 and for whatever reason the contract Hearn had allowed the PPV to be shown on a non sky platform. You think Sky would be happy about that? BT shown two Fury fights in America on PPV which realistically shouldn't have been PPV as nobody was paying for those fights but for BT the pay off was Wilder v Fury 2. If BT do not get that fight then what was the point in getting behind this Fury project? It's not even as if BT have managed to cash in a few times and missing out on one fight just being business. You possibly could have Wilder v Fury 2 on a rival platform and then potentially Fury v AJ on a rival platform.
It's more likely Warren will donate his cut from the fight to boost the BT sport bid for the fight ffs. Sky getting the fight is surely a disaster for Warren and BT going forward.
Where does BT Sport stand if they don't buy the rights for this fight? They might as well just pack it in.
That's my thinking. Fury is their only boxing PPV asset. If he wanders over to sky for his biggest ever fight they've nothing left. They can concentrate on UFC PPV's after that. Frank ain't delivering PPV content.
Looking at everything now, I think BT will get the fight. They’re not gonna turn their back on Fury now after what they’ve done but I’m sure they’re not gonna be happy with the amount they will now pay. They’ve had a bit of a shocker with it all really but probably all down to them being new in the business.
