what was bad is that the Mayweather camp tried to make everyone believe Pac was on steroids. Asking for OSDT is no big deal. You ask for it, but you don't accuse someone of being on PEDs, before you ask for OSDT or after even if he doesn't wanna do it.

did you see how Povetkin asked Wlad to take OSDT? Just compare Povetkin's way and Floyd's way, and you'll understand immediately.

Here was team Povetkin's statement, look at how its worded.

“We have gathered you today to voice one of our wishes for Team Klitschko, whom we respect cordially. Once again I want to point out that this is a wish and surely not a demand. We address the following words to the honoured master of sports and fellow Olympic super heavyweight gold medalist about the event, which is being one of the most anticipated match-ups worldwide in the recent history of boxing’s glamour division.

A hard and nervous stage of negotiations is ahead of our camps. But one question exists, which should be resolved positively for the benefit of the sport and for the future of boxing. I’m talking about the centralized and effective system of anti-doping tests.

This question was long discussed by the international boxing community and it’s time to draw a line and to start a new, clean page in the history of our sport without performance-enhancing drugs. And we can do it – with the support of Team Klitschko, of course. We ask Wladimir to aid us and to agree on such set of anti-doping procedures for the fight between him and Alexander, which will follow the Code of WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency). It’s time to make a leap forward and to open a new era in pugilism. I wish that idols of our youth will break up the old rules to make something new and worthy”.

“I want to emphasize that we aren’t demanding anything; we are asking for partnership from Team Klitschko in resolving this difficult question. Firstly, we are challengers and Wladimir is a champion, so he has something to demand. Secondly, one can surely think that we doubt Wladimir’s cleanness and his integrity. Surely not!

I never said that Mayweather Jr and camp went about asking Pacquiao to take OSDT in a proper manner,i just dont agree with the people who feel it's totaly of the wall for asking in the first place.

IMO,It would have been more realistic for the Mayweather camp to keep there opinion to themselves on the subject of whether or not they think Manny is taking some sort of PED's,but as we all know,,,thats not Mayweather and camps style to say the least.

Why do people fail to recognize that Mayweather said he will not fight Pac for 50/50 or no stop date on drug testing way back in February when he signed his match with Mosley? Mayweather said he gave him a chance with 50/50 - 14 day cut off but not any more especially if he does more than Clottey/Pac against Mosley. Well he did significantly better and is sticking to what he said back in Feb..

Rugby with helmets? LOL, American football is too rough a sport for Europeans and English. That is why you see none in the drafts. They prefer softer sports like Soccer, Polo, Cricket and fox hunts. :yep

rumor is they've already agreed on drug testing anyway. so might as well not argue the point anymore . fact is though, manny was willing to go through the normal drug testing protocol last time and he agreed to get blood tested, which is more then any boxer is required to do. Not Manny's fault Floyd is scared of him.

And those dudes in the NFL wouldn't last 5 minutes in a game of rugby seen as that's roughly on average the amount of time they spend actually playing in fits and starts during an nfl game.

In response to the topic title no it isn't so bad, it's a perfectly legitimate demand in a contact sport.

I'm just curious, can you name a boxer or boxers who has a brain damage because their opponent or opponents used peds?. I guess De La Hoya is brain damaged,he fought Vargas and Mosley. Plus Pacquiao is an easy fight for Floyd. Why so concern for brain damage?

I am not claiming or never have accused Pacquiao of taking anything.

Maybe when you answer the threads question, you will get some answers back yourself.
