It's definitely time for Merchant to retire. He still comes out with some great lines, but it's not worth the rambling drunken nonsense, and his endless criticism of fighters is bad for the sport. But who is there to replace him? Kellerman is terrible.
He does say a lot of dumb ****, but he does provide some comedy after he's put down that first 5th of Vodka.
No. Merchant will ask the questions nobody else will. Kellerman just sucks up to the fighter he is interviewing with softball questions. Merchant will ask the tough questions the fans want to hear.

Larry Legend is the only one that keeps it real and isnt afraid to speak his mind, it will be a sad day when he finally retires from broadcasting hopefully that wont happen anytime soon.
Merchant is an awful commentator,i remember when i first got sky sports back around 1998 and sometimes you would see him interview fighters in the ring i honestly couldnt believe it,this old guy that was taking 2 minutes to ask a question that would have taken a normal man 20 seconds, and for everyone saying he gets to the point and cuts through the bull**** thats true to a degree but he's also insulting to guys who have just fought their heart out in the ring, sure its funny when he rips on a guy but imagine your a fighter, you just did 12 hard rounds or you just been stopped and this old **** is talking down to you,HBO team is terrible,Ian Darke is the best commentator by miles, never biased, respects the fighters but doesnt dick ride them and nearly always calls it right,Kellerman is like a guy reading odd a cue card..
Larry is class and has earned his spot-unlike the anoying know-it-all Kellerman. Larry is HBO.:thumbsup
HBO hired Max Kellerman, Merchant has been fired "Milton" style he prob just won't leave. #Officespace
