:yep Yup. Even more likable about JT was his response to those dudes.

"Ya'll see me out after the Kelly fight, don't even try to act like you know me".

I think that Kessler is the most overratter fighter on this site today. The guy really has done nothing to warrent the kind of respect that he gets from many on this site.

I think that Taylor would beat Kessler, I think that the assumption that many of the European posters here were making about kessler and Calzaghe being levels above fighters like Pavlik and Taylor were disproven in the Calzaghe Hopkins fights. Taylor beat a younger Hopkins much easier then Calzaghe did in the first fight, and Taylor was never hurt by Hopkins which I believe show Taylor to have a better chin then Joe. And seeing that Kessler was unable to hurt Joe I doubt that Kessler would be able to hurt Taylor.

    Taylor wins UD 12

    Good one.

You're not a true boxing fan, therefore you shouldn't post on here and embarass yourself in front of people who respect the sport, respect its athletes, and respect this website.

    **** off.

I dissagree on a few points. Number 1, I believe Hopkins did hurt Taylor(I think round 11 or 12 in the first fight). Number 2, I believe Kessler hurt Calzaghe(I think it was an uppercut in the middle rounds). Also, I believe Kessler outpoints Taylor; possibly stops him. Pavlik is a 1-2 puncher and he beat Taylor twice. Kessler is also a 1-2 puncher, but he's faster and has a much better defense than Pavlik. He may also hit harder. I just can't see Taylor beating Kessler.

Kessler didn't just beat the guys you listed, he handily DOMINATED them, an overlooked feature is rating on how fights are won.

Taylor on the other hand with his poor performances against B levels goes underlooked as well here.

It's interesting you should say that because I was thinking how much better Hopkins looked the other week than he did for his last few fights at 160. He's looked fresher at LHW I personally think. I think the step up in weight has suited him.

I also think that there was a definite decline in form and speed from Calzaghe from the Kessler fight to the Hopkins one. I also think Calzaghe underestimated Bernard as crazy as that may seem. If they boxed again, I believe it would be a wider UD. Joe took a few rounds to figure him out, but once he did, that - as they say - was that.

i agree about kessler. but taylor was hurt in the first fight with hopkins. kessler has no upper body movement, he has barely any foot movement. he doesn't impress me at all. taylor has all the talent. but just lacks ring intellegence, but his athleticism would be too much for kessler.

No matter who wins this fight would be closer than most here have said it would be. Kessler is by no means a much better fighter than Taylor. I hope this one happens in the near future.

Kessler is not that much better and he is a robot. But Pavlik is kind of robotic and he beat taylor. Kessler will get hit a lot more then he would like b/c of JT terrific double and triple jab and left hook off of the jab. I think this is the kind of fight JT would like b/c Kessler applies no pressure. JT would hang in there and I dont discount him beating him though Kessler is the favorite.

Kessler is one of the more over-rated guys on ESB. He's a solid "B" level fighter, but he is not the second coming of Ray Robinson like some on this forum would have us believe. If you pit the version of Kessler that lost to Slappy Joe against the version of JT that went 12 hard rounds with Pavlik it's 60/40 in favor of Taylor. He is faster and has a much better jab than the robo-dane. Taylor 116-112.

My God, give Taylor some credit. He's at least faced and won against top level competition.

I'm sorry, I'm just not THAT impressed with Kessler. He throws a descent 1-2 when his opponent is in front, THAT'S IT. He can't counter, he can't fight going backwards, he can't fight inside, he doesn't apply pressure, and he has no headmovement. Basically anyone with a descent well-rounded game will cause his circuitboard to overload.

I think a common theme on this board is that Kessler is overrated and Taylor is underrated. Maybe it has to do with where people are from but i can't help but notice this. Not taking away anything from Kessler but some people make it seem like Taylor doesn't even belong in the same ring with Kessler and that's insane.
