You never watched AJ in the Amateurs? Watch his fight with Magomedrasul Majidov, the hardest puncher in the Amateurs at the time, he took his best shots. Price capitualted numerous times in the amateurs, Joshua never really did. The biggest question about AJ is stamina, if he has stamina then he is the future HW champ imo.

Don't worry, his team will just use EPO and blood transfusions to sort any stamina issues :yep

I hope you really don't think Usyk will be a major player as a heavyweight. He's too small, already 28 years old and has yet to win a world title at cruiserweight. I really doubt he'll move up in weight anyway.

Yes, amateur boxing and pro boxing have been very different sports altogether for the last 25 years or so.

Here is a guy on YouTube who posted a video of his very chubby cousin beating Bermane Stiverne a few months before the 2004 Olympics.

Hopefully with the recent changes, it will start to resemble the pro game again.

I actually do. He's not that small, he's not really behind where Kovalev was at the age 28, he beat big, fast or powerful all types of HWs in the ams. Not to mention he barely lost a round in WSB against HWs without headgear.

Why not? He shut Medchidov at SHW in WSB. Is 6'3" and would be 220+ and lean. He would beat Joshua and Parker right now.

I'm not seeing it. I know a lot of people are really high on him. But Usyk is a World amateur and Olympic champion who is approaching 30.

Why are they moving him so slow? He's had 7 pro fights in three years. He fights less often than some defending champions.

As for Kovalev, he didn't win any world or Olympic titles. He wasn't celebrated. He came up the hard way. Hell, he's still looking for a big payday because his promoter takes whatever HBO will pay her.

Usyk seems on the road to being a "Major Bust."

I think K2 is having hard time getting the fights he needs. Moving to Germany might solve that problem. But his skills are for real, I tell you that. He's like Chris Byrd with heavier hands.

anyone who questions Usyk's boxing has some intrinsic agenda against him or fighters of that clade.

Boublechin knows Usyk is not Murican, so that's enough for him.:-(

Murica still has B.J. Flores as it's best CW!
