I wouldn't go that hard  I think he just needs to educate himself on Usyk-Medhzidov, Usyk-Joyce and Usyk-Modugno. And with highlights of his pro fights.

I am a big Parker fan but best prospect is a hard call. We're hopefully heading into an exciting time now and I kindof like the uncertainty, I'd rather have the likes of Parker, Wilder, Joshua, Fury etc still as guys that really we would like to see fighting each other.

We all have our preferences, and we all have good points for and against some of these guys. As they start facing each other we'll no doubt start (if we look at it objectively) seeing them display strengths and weaknesses that previous match ups haven't exposed and if people don't just jump on and off bandwagons then we could be in for a fun next few years of interesting fights.

Enjoy it and support all of the guys putting themselves on the line :)

Parker lost everytime he fought someone good in the amateurs. Realistically this should be a concern for his pro career.

Name another Olympic Gold Medal winner from any country on earth who only fought seven times in his first three years as a pro who amounted to anything.

I rooted for Usyk in the Olympics. He just hasn't done squat since.

    :hi:

That's true. However, he's shown progress as a pro. That's what you want. But he shouldn't get saddled fighting 40 year olds just so local promoters can make a little extra money.

Parker needs to keep progressing and fighting better fighters along the way and not guys twice his age who weren't good enough at their best 10 or 15 years ago. That's all I'm saying.

    I think he's very talented.

This is very true. I have followed Joe since he first started boxing around the country. He had a tough time with a young NZ islander called Patrick Mailata also when he fought locally. I had doubts about how far Joe would go as a pro, but since he has been managed/trained under Kevin Barry, he has developed leaps and bounds.

The current Joseph Parker would end the amateur Joseph Parker within the first round.

Im pleasantly surprised at how well he has developed in 2 short years.

    Key factors:

    * Joshua actually looks bigger than he is, look at his narrow waist and compare to his shoulders. I take Parkers body as better optimized for boxing. And the weight difference is not that much i you compare for their ages.

    * I would probably go with Parker now, but if you consider their age factor i would definitely go with Parker, compare with Joshua 3 years ago instead.

    * Chin, we know that Joshua have been knocked down before.

    * Speed, most probably the biggest advantage for Parker.

    Overall: Joseph Parker

He's a power puncher. A style better suited for the pro's.

Lets not forget that Joshua got not 1 but 2 gifts to get that "Gold" medal. Clearly his current promotor paid for that gold medal and is cashing in on it as we speak.

Yes he is and he's the youngest too, he's 3 years younger than Joshua and will improve more despite already being the better fighter. His arc will continue treading upward and its doubtful in 3-4 years time whether anyone will be able to compete with this guy.

I think AJ is the biggest prospect personally. He is a freak. He is extremely powerful and for a man of his size he is very fast and has good footwork. He also has a very good boxing brain, very composed. People shouldnt critisize Joshua by his performances when he was 19-22 years of age. You have to bear in mind that he started boxing at 18.
