I wish Cuello had some calcium and sulfur in his wraps.

wouldn't be surprised if in the 8th the scorecards will be for chavezs 6-2 (78-74)

It's entirely possible. Cuello's style is very nasty and usually leads to wide disparity in scores. Similar to guys like Winky Wright and Joshua Clottey as IB put out there.

Chavez taking the 8th round but it's a tremendous round. Really good fight so far. Well worth going out of your way to see.

4-4 all up on my meaningless card.

Chavez won that round on his body work. His body attack scores points but they're just touches, so it isn't the type of effective long-term investment bodypunching should be as he never puts any torque into them.

Cuello's biggest weakness is that he goes backwards way too much. Every time he goes on the ropes, Chavez tags him on the ropes and gets free points on body shots.

One judge has 79-73, another 77-75, another 78-74 for Chavex according to the judges.

I have it tied up. 77-75 either way is fine. 78-74 is lidicrous.

I don't blame Chavez Jr though. He has to take what Cuello gives him really. It's nearly impossible barring a perfect uppercut to cut through that brickwall esque turtle shell of Cuello. Cuello needs to get off the ropes and stop continuing to give minutes away.

CLOSE round 9. Good stuff from both guys.

I don't know why JCC doesn't just man the corner himself. He pretty much overrules everyone else in Julio's corner.

JCC Jr needs to get as far away as professionally possible from his dad and hook up with a more legit corner.

That's pretty unnecessary at this point. Chavez is a raw B ranked prospect right now whose pretty much getting on the job training.

Chavez needs to get a better corner if he ever wants to step up to the next level.

Good fight. I have it 5 all.
