I'm not going by rumours, i'm just saying what I saw.

Granted a lot of fighters look drawn in the days up to the weigh in, but to dismiss it as purely BS is naive.

He doesnt have power he has speed and half decent but not great accuracy which makes up for it. If he moved up in weight bodywork will be crucial which even after he caught Maidana was an underused weapon.

Khan starts fast and keeps up a good pace but he isn't going to be knocking down too many welterweights. Even when Khan is allowed to unload on a defenceless opponent he rarely hits them with that BIG shot to knock them down.

His power isnt a pitter patter Malignanggi type they have sting enough to stop people just walking through. But he is no Roy Jones in the speed and power department.

is it fair to say that there is no smoke without fire?

weigh-in starts fairly soon so we'll all know either way then...

Usually, however this is boxing. There's more smoke than in a gentleman's club and usually less fire than in a giant freezer

This Saj leads a charmed life.

I thought I was lucky when I got to say hello to Frankie Gavin and Anthony Farnell at York Hall...... never mind being paid to go globetrotting

When your famous though, its obviously harder to trust people. Having childhood friends who you can trust as part of your team can be invaluable. Look how a lot of footballers have brothers etc as agents.

I think too many sportsmen have ''teams'' or managers for the sake of it.

Only really the top 5% of them actually need one, the rest just have someone that is chasing their tail or the time or have one just to keep up with the Jones's.

My cousin's soon to be ex-husband used to play for Scarborough when they played Chelsea, and also played for Lincoln too - whenever they got a decent FA Cup draw his appearance fee ended up going on tickets for sponsors and other flunkies. I think he paid the guy about £100 a week for next to nothing.... so if he's got 30 or 40 lads on his books with a similar arrangement -:rofl all the way to the bank.

Khan doesn't need these guys or a business manager. All he needs is his dad, his trainer, conditioner and cutman. The rest are just leeching.

Maybe it's me not being the trusting sort, but I just wouldn't want all these people around me all the time. Plus, none of my friends are the type that would want to be on the payroll.... sure they'd want some free tickets but they'd want to pay their own expenses.

Can work both ways, whilst it can take a lot of stress away from a fighter which is perfect for focussing on training if they arent competent like in this case it can **** ur earnings and reputation up. Khan has zero blame attached to him other than being too naive with his promotional matters. And when its family/close freinds 'looking after' your career and finances its harder to see or admit it aint working and it gets messy if you make the call to split with em.

On the footballer example that doesnt always work out Nicholas Anelka moved from club to club and probably never fullfilled his massive potential. His brother was (and probaly still is) his agent. Swings and roundabouts but I think its a potentially dangerous scenario to be in that can negatively affect Amir's career and life
