Crawford left LW 'cause he could see Loma coming (in the distance...over his shoulder). Just like Usyk could see Beterbiev closing in, and fled to HW. See what a pain it is to be a HW...Nowhere to run to...at least not till Chocklab gets put in charge.
If he beats Lopez I’d say he’s both. I honestly don’t think we’ll see another loma ever again, dudes definitely a one of a kind boxer
Say what?? His first title fight was for the WBO against Orlando Salido who had lost decisively every time he stepped up against a great fighter JMM, against Yuriorkis Gamboa, against Mikey Garcia... .... Lomachenko lost. He then gets another shot at the WBO FW title in his next fight against GRJ. He wins. He then moves up and fights Salido and Mikey Garcia left over for a SFW title. He fights some outmatched B level opponents but never fights the top dog at SFW and moves to LW to fight top LW but fragile Linares. Very competitive fight with Lianres KD Loma, until the fragile Linares decides his fragile body can take no more. In summary, Lomachenko is exceptional, had a pleasant style, and beats the fighters he's supposed to beat. However, the fighters that would prove he is above the elite, fights against Berchelt, Garcia, Pacquiao.... he has not been eager to make. I disagree with you when you say he steps up.
HOF yes ATG wait till career over but very close to a yes also, especially considering all but one of his fights have been title fights.
Crawford left LW because he couldn’t make the weight anymore. LOL at Lomachenko being the reason he left. Oh yeah, definitely HOF but not ATG yet.
Lomachenko is a talented boxer but I can't think of a more overrated fighter in recent years besides GGG. He has too much to prove.
I would consider him HOF and ATG because he is not only a 3 weight world champion but he was recognized as the best at 126 & 130 and is currently the lineal champion at 135
If he had just retired now then yeah I think he would be on the ballot for the Hall of Fame pretty soon,
