Yeah, i'm sure Boxrec is overrating him. It's computerised ffs.

#1 at SMW is a matter of Ward, Bute and Froch. None of those three are plain wrong.

Plus, almost any boxer here on ESB or on any other boxing forum are either overrated or underrated.

Other than Andre Ward, nobody in the super middleweight division has beaten the division's 'elite'. On that basis, no, I don't think he's overrated. His paper record is just as good as anyone else's at the moment. That will probably change soon, but not until we get further along in the Super Six.

Bute by default must be rated in the top 3 or 4.Until such time he fights an "elite" Supermiddle he has a stake to this claim.

For me, being overrated would be to put Allan Green in the top 3 of the SMW division. Arguing on Bute's spot, whatever he's number 1,2,3 or 4 has nothing to do with overrate or underate him. It's called debating.

You know darn well, Miranda is going to get a beating of the year. Bute is by no means over rated, he not only beating other 168 fighters, he's beating their ass's up.

Bute without a doubt is a top talent at 168. I would have loved to have seen him in the tourney and think he would have done quite well. I don;'t think he's over-rated at all.

He is a decent entertaining fighter. I agree he has not stepped it up yet but most likely than not, he will be fighting the winner of the SHO tourney if HBO is willing. That is another story altogether.

Still, a very fun southpaw to watch he is.

There are words from his promoter about Pavlik, Dawson or Jean Pascal for the end of this year. That would be a nice step up, while waiting for the tournament winner.

Basically anyone from canada thinks he's an ATG everyone else has yet to be convinced he's even top 6.

Personally I don't think he's in the current top 5's league and they will milk his career in Canada a long time before letting any top 5 super middle near him.

Even though he won the rematch well you think abraham froch dirrell ward would lose to andrade even once ? let alone be taken the distance.
Oh wait andrade supposedly has an iron chin which I have seen no proof of what so ever actually.

To me, the amount of hate Bute is receiving is the proof of his greatness. Nobody hates an average guy.

The thing is until we see Kessler against Froch, we won't know if he was done against Ward. If he get badly beaten by Froch, then Ward's victory is less of an accomplishment.
