Some of you guys talk about Bute as if he has actaully beat some top fighters, and he hasnt. One poster even said that he has beatten 4 top fighters. I would like to know which 4 was that??? He has fought two very limited sluggers and a long list of bums.

Im not saying that Bute isnt a good fighter, or that he cant beat elite fighters. what im saying is going from the fact that he hasnt done it and people are calling him the best at the weight is over rating him.

Not when those fighters are Joppy and Berrio. Berrio was a lucky belt holder, and Joppy was a middleweight belt holder almost ten years ago.

Give me a break. You guys cant win on this one. Just say that Bute is a good fighter and he will prove it down the road, and stop trying to sell him as a guy that already has. His resume is WEAK. REAL weak.

3 with Bika (IBO)... but the thing is he got talent , heart he's a hard worker has a good resume, he's undefeated , he has ko'ed his last 2 opponents...so he deserves his place up there ranked 1,2 or 3

    :patsch

No he dosent have a good resume, and having heart and talent doesnt make him deserve a place in the top three. Beatting top fighters is what gets you a place in the top three.

IBO:rofl WoW you guys are really working hard.:verysad

Andrade and Bika were two top 168lbs fighters. Andrade was universally recognized as top5. :patsch

Your hate for Bute really knows no boundaries. :-(

You bash Bute's record day in day out but completely ignore the fact that everyone at 168lbs has a similar record. Nobody stands out as an elite fighter and nobody's record is outstanding.

Bute's resume isn't any worst then all the other top fighters in the division.

Hate for Bute??? You get that from me telling the truth about his resume??? No his resume isnt similar to the others at 168. Its poor. Ward fought Miranda a year ago was bashed for it and now you Bute fans are trying to pass him off as a legit fight. Its a joke.

Andrade, bika, Joppy, Berrio and a bunch of no name no-hope bums. Now the problem is the four arent much to hype. Joppy was a middleweight belt holder several years ago and he himself never beat an elite fighter. Bika is merely good enough to be in fights with elite fighters. Andrade is a solid b level fighter that will always lose to elite fighters that is except of his knockout win/crime lost to Bute. His resume is weak, and not as strong as the others at the weight. Give me a break.

Kessler-Calzaghe, Ward, Andarde, Mundine NOW Froch
    Froch-Taylor, Dirrell, Pascal now Kessler

Bute resume is on a whole slightly better then Wards, but Ward did beat the guy that most saw as the MAN. While Bute keeps fighting limited sluggers :good

Andrade (x2), Bika, Berrio and Zuniga were all ranked by The Ring in their top 10 when Bute fought them. Andrade and Berrio have both beaten current titlists, and Bika's looked like a beast against lesser opposition. Zuniga I'll admit was a bit of a stretch, but that was mostly on the basis of him getting robbed against Inkin and destroying Oganov. Turns out that Inkin and Oganov were both just overrated.

Joppy is a **** win. Why bother bringing it up?

Still, that's 5 more wins over top 10 opponents than Green has, 4 more than Froch has (although Pascal turned out to be pretty good after the fact) and 4 more than Ward has. And by the time Bute's next fight happens, Ward's 3rd best win will be the same as Bute's 6th best win.

No doubt that Kessler is a better win than anything on Bute's resume. I can't in good conscience argue that Froch has any better wins than Bika or Andrade though. Froch should have lost to Dirrell, was losing to shot to **** Taylor until the last minute, and beat Pascal who never did anything at 168. He wasn't impressive in any of those wins, and none of them are that great.

Dirrell is probably the best of the bunch, but what the hell is his best win? Curtis Stevens? And while I've grown to love Pascal, his resume is massively overrated. He struggled with 43 year old Silvio Branco, and his only two good wins are over a midget Adrian Diaconu (who was also massively overrated and has never beaten anyone of real consequence). If he holds his own against Dawson, I'll reevaluate, but for now, Pascal as a win is about on the same level as Andrade and Bika.

And by the way, who else would you propose Bute to fight? He wasn't invited to the super six. HBO isn't interested in Pavlik-Bute yet (and Pavlik isn't either). He already beat the top two guys who aren't in the super six, and he's beaten two guys who beat the next highest ranked guy. Who do you want him to fight?

Wow you make Bute resume sound great. problem is your overstating all of his wins. As I said the only thing that Bika has shown is that he can be in fights with the better fighters but always comes up well short of winning. Same with Zuniga. Thing about Bute is that he seems to keep fighting the same kind of fighter slow handed sluggers. What happens when he faces a boxer with skills??? We dont know. Which is the biggest problem with Bute we dont know. the reason that we dont know is because he hasnt done it in the ring yet. You can build his resume up with words, but words dont mean crap. Andrade and Berrio holding wins over current belt holders is a overstatment being that its the same guy and that guy being Stieglitz.

As far as who he could fight, well HBO was interested in him fighting Dawson a thought that was quickly surpressed by Bute people. That really isnt the point. the point is no matter how much talking you Bute fans do the fact remains that Bute hasnt fought or beat elite fighters. The mistake that many of you are making when it come to me is, im not saying that Bute is a crap fighter or that he cant beat elite fighters, what Im saying is that he hasnt done it yet, however you guys make it sound as if he already has. The super-six would have been much more interesting had he been a part of it, and i said that from the start.

You guys keep wanting to talk about how he has a better record then Green yet no one is debating that, no one is boosting Green as an elite fighter. Bute fans seem to have something with Green, who is only a replacement in the super-six and no one is expecting him to do much.
