Well, he won the Glazkov fight(IMO) but I agree with the basic message of your post.

You know him personally? Glad he's staying in shape.

I consider them both pretty iffy outcomes.

Keep seeing Instagram posts of him training, so he's staying in shape. Quite like Malik and surprised he got stopped vs Chisora because he does have the ability to box his ears off I think

    :huh

I guess a comeback has to start somewhere, but this fight seems like a waste of time.

Meh. He should have not lost to Chisora. He's not going anywhere.

I don't see why he can't get somewhere. I don't see him winning a big 4 world title unless the stars align just right but he can pick up next rung titles and make a good living.
The Chisora fight was a weird blip, he was absolutely fine and able to fight but the ref did right - he didn't get up in time.

Malik should go back to school and learn how to count

The thing with the Chisora stoppage is, take the dodgy count out of the equation and Malik still pretty clearly wanted out of there, Chisoras pressure was giving him fits and as someone else said, his sparring partner mentality kicked in and he practically gave up, he barely complained after the fight and even admitted defeat!

It says something when the fans were complaining more about it than he was

I don't think he was going to turn the Chisora fight around but it was a bad stoppage. An asterisk next to that loss for sure.

Interesting. Grover Young is 3-11-1 in his last 15 fights and has never fought more than 6 rounds. The draw was against Kovalev, the fight being stopped after two rounds for what was ruled an accidental foul (Kovalev punch to the back of the head?).

i still believe malik has so much talent, great to see him back, hope he can refine his skills, his heart, he just needs to polish his attributes and come back stronger.

the major problem with malik is his lack of power, i believe chisora was a bad stylistic match up for him, he needs to do something so when he faces a pressure fighter he can keep them off him, he needs to on occasions put something on his punches.

it is clear malik cannot really fight on the inside, he also doesnt know what to do when a fighter plays rough with him, with his lack of power I think other fighters will exploite his weakness and go rough knowing theres not much risk in comming for malik, this is why i believe until he polishes his skills he cannot beat guys like fury, charr, , arreola, these are bad match ups for him as these guys love playing rough.

Really talented. It's a shame that he got robbed his last two fights. He CLEARLY beat Glasgov and he was beating the **** out of Chisora before the British Stoppage.

It doesn't matter, though. Everyone likes Rigo for his ring generalship and overall skills, but if Scott shows the same foundation he's considered boring and a coward. Too bad he's black and not Cuban or another race that white people feel indifferent towards.

A kayo AND a possible fight with Wilder? I like it. Looks like he's willing to go again and see what questions we can answer.
