    I know what it means because when I was a kid in the 1980s, I heard the term being used in classic Bugs Bunny cartoons made from the 1940-50s that was regularly shown on TV at that time. Other than that, it's not a widely used term, at least here in the U.S. Oh yeah, I heard John Wayne use the term as well.

    He is very scared of Floyd Mayweather. He turned down $40,000,000 (a career high payday) to make $7,400,000 with Tim Bradley. He is very scared of Floyd's reach, counterpunching, and footwork...he is scared of "running in" and getting popped by something he never see's.
