pac has already been interviewed by cnn... and his brutal 2nd round KO of hatton has become the main sports news in CNN and ESPN. formerly these mainstream media outlets just mention boxing results in passing but for this pac-hatton fight it has merited main sports story status. boxing has become more mainstream lately as a result of pac's latest exploits.
of course he is , he's probably the most recognized name right now out of all the active boxers. The pay per view numbers looked amazing and let me tell you bars were packed

It depends where you are. In America, I think FIlipinos and some Koreans know of him. Among the average Joe, some of them might be familar with him because of his recent coverage on ESPN. He is not a household name though like De La Hoya or Mawyweather
