:good Good point! I had never heard of Salita, until f****** Sky Sports started hyping him as the most dangerous man in the world(Etc). I did my research and decided that Salita was just another over-hyped "Soft touch" for Amir and kept my £ in my pocket. Glad I did!
Amir Khan is clearly being carefully matched. That's what happens when you have a glass jaw and when you've been violently knocked out in 50 seconds by C level fighter with a padded record. There were too many hard hitters at 135 which is why they moved Khan up to 140 and quickly matched him with a light hitting paper champ. His first defense was against a light hitting mando with a padded record. Now they have their sights set on Malignaggi who can't break wind with his punches. This will allow Khan to polish his skills, but he's showing why being a so called champion is a joke these days. Champs are supposed to be ready take on all worthy challengers. However, many are talking about how Khan isn't ready for certain guys. That's just great, now this guy can hang on to his paper title and get all this hype by beating handpicked opponents. I have no problem with them handpicking guys for Khan while they polish his skills, but it's a shame he's actually holding a world title and being propped up as an elite 140 lber. while they are doing this.
Khan would have to fight Maidana at some point to keep his title, but it won't happen anytime soon. Too much risk right now for Roach to let it happen. If he got starched badly again he might not recover. You never know.
