Is Marquez really going to turn down $10m-$12m for $1m?

It's not really all about the money for Juan man. It's about getting a fair shake ya know? Let' say he gets $12 million, while Pacquiao gets something like $25+ million...Juan ain't having that ****....He just KHTFO, and has the only decisive victory in the series...So if they want him in the ring again, they better pay him as much as they are paying the guy who wants to fight him. If not, then he'll just fight Bradley.

    Dude is financially set.

Possibly but the other side of the argument "Fighter X should just accept XXX dollars or XX% split and make the fight because I want to see it" is ignorance at its finest.

Marquez will easily make more than 1 million. Esp on mexican independence day weekend. But isnt that when Mayweathers fighting? He akready said hes fighting again in September. So unless Floyd fights Canelo, us latinos and mexicanos will be paying to see Marquez on 09/14/2013

    This is all wrong.

Personally think Bradley will be a tougher fight for JMM. Styles make fights.

Exactly. I just realised Floyd has a guarentee from Showtime so.maybe he aint too worried about PPV numbers anymore since thats where the bulk of his.money came from. But his ppv #s will be greatly affected if he doesnt fight someone like Canelo cuz Marquez will get.mad support on Mexican Independence day weekend

Bradley could box him, as JMM has a harder time with Boxers than come foward aggressive fighters like Pacquiao.

Yeah Marquez is calling the shots. He deserves every penny of the ppv. Mayweather hijacked the Mexican.holidays and stacks the card with Latinos. Its time for Marquez and Canelo to run.the show. Maybe Arum will let Marquez fight Bradley on ppv in Sept. and he mentioned Pac fighting in October. Could be Pac Alvarado in October.

I hate it when we get a great fight and certain fans bring up money as if it matters to them. The only thing we should care about is the level of competition inside the ring. If Juan was fighting a bum for peanuts instead of Pac I might question Juan's decision. But JMM-Bradley is a hell of a fight for real boxing fans.

Juan is pushing 40 yrs of age. He figures he only has a few good fights left in the tank. Why waste it on a guy you've already beaten numerous times? Juan has already received $8-10 mil. I'm sure a good chunk of his last payday is still around as I'm confident Juan is smart with handling his money. Is he supposed to fight Pacquiao until they both can't do it anymore just because the money is good? That's pathetic. Juan is already rich and has become a star in Mexico. He's accomplished his goal. The next step is to expand on his legacy, not become richer.
