Is Marquez really going to turn down $10m-$12m for $1m?

That's obvious isn't it? Then again, if he'd only gone down once the fight wouldn't have been the same - it was the shock of those 3 knockdowns which made the fight what it was - Pacquiao was chasing the 1 punch KO for the next 5 rounds thinking he could get Marquez down easy and Marquez' warrior heart and defensive cunning came into the picture to see those lunging left hand haymakers Pacquiao was throwing and counter on them

It would have been a different fight entirely

Nah. Big Bad JMM is in it for the legacy, apparently. I'm sure if possible he would fight for Bradley's belt with a cheeseburger (fries optional) bet.

    Legacy pays the bills, yo!:D

Exactly!!! It's strange despite what some people think - money-wise it's a big difference. Anyway time will tell...

Turning down big money fights isn't foreign to Juan. Look at some of his early career moves

Not his early career anymore - only so many paydays are left

If JMM accepts $1 mil instead of $12 mil he should retire, clear sign of brain damage.

Pacquiao has more power. Who cares? Pacquiao's not been able to stop JMM in 4 attempts. The point was who is the tougher fight for JMM to win. I believe that's Bradley.

Well usually a PPV that does 300k generates about $6-7 million to share between the boxers, so Marquez would get around $4-5 million imo not bad but still less than half he would get against Pacquiao.

People have made dubious decisions before like Sugar Shane Mosley putting Winky Wright ahead of Oscar DelaHoya. He got $3m instead of $12m from fighting DelaHoya. For someone with an Accounting Degree Marquez is a bit strange in this one unless he's still negotiating.Who knows Pacquiao turned down $50m for $7.5m.

Arum will never go toe to toe with Mayweather. If Mayweather is fighting on that day then Marquez's fight will be moved.

Basically money isn't everything to him like to most ppl.He wanted the W.If he'd fairly got it the 1st or second time there wouldn't be no 3rd 4 th fight.

You shouldn't even talk when a lot of fighters you like are carefully managed.

JMM will make more than $1 million. His newfound fame as the Pac slayer will ensure the fight sells much more than his rematch with Diaz.

I think everybody is ready to move on from Pac/JMM. It's been done four times and Juan's wins in the last two just went from clear to KHTFO. What's left?

lol this is just blatant nuthuggery. Marquez knows there would be VADA testing and he wants no part of that. If it wasnt about the money then why did he want an even split? Your logic is off pal.
