There is a BIG difference between "picking" Haton to win and "rooting" for Hatton to win. Let's not confuse the two. I was always rooting for him, but did I think he could do it? I always said this fight is 50/50 and could go either way, and I never changed my stance on that one. I think I can speak for quite a lot of us.

    65-35.

    Writers picked Mayweather, ok.

Other great fighters, who know the sport, picked Hatton.

To say that nobody picked Hatton at all is exaggerated.

The odds didn't make Hatton a huge underdog.

Like I said before, you really need to take who other fighters pick with a grain of salt. Writers are much more objective when picking fights.

Again floyd is just a class above and i just don't hope this damages hatton too much because I think at lightwelterweight he will return and rule that division. The Clean punches what were being landed by floyd was brilliant. I might be sounding like a bitter brit here but what do u think of the refs performance.

WTF! OP you are a funny guy. Floyd was right when he said: If I win, I was supposed to win and they guy was not as good as people thought, and If I lose then I was overrated.

In the sense that Hatton had no business fighting at Welterweight, yes.

But still, a great win for Mayweather who deserves much credit.

Best fighter in the world and it's not even close.

The only reason it is overrated is because of how many people were shocked to see Floyd knock him out. It was a very good performance by Floyd, but it wasn't against a great or even elite fighter. I'm glad that Floyd actually stopped him though.. I was a little worried he would be fighting safety-first in the late rounds and not care a lot about getting the KO but he closed the show and did what he was supposed to, so he deserves credit for that.

Still, it was a match against a B+ level (at 147), A- level at best (at 140) fighter that he had very big stylistic advantages over. Floyd must fight Cotto and if he wins he should get huge respect/credit because that will truly be a great win.
