A "shot" Jermain Taylor fought a close fight against Froch and got knocked out in the last round, Kessler not only won the last round but took the fight to Froch. Dirrell did not outclass Froch, he outboxed him at times because yes he is faster and Froch is crude however when Froch put any kind of pressure on Dirrell bitched out and took knees, held on for dear life and cried to the referee who rightfully took a point away. First time I scored the fight live it was 114-113 in favour of Froch with the second time being 115-112. Bika didnt have a chance of beating Ward in Oakland but Ward wasnt exactly dominating (i scored the fight close in favour of Ward) let me guess your sitting on your couch screaming "USA! USA! USA!"
Kess is a guy who takes pride in his record, and he had a good one up until his two losses. Very spirited, making up for limited technical ability. But once you take away that pride in being undefeated he didnt seem the same guy, or maybe its just the injuries he accumulates from being such a warrior all his career up until lately. I wonder if he had fared better biding his time at MW rather than rushing up to SMW to win titles. Perhaps if he'd just won one MW title and stuck to defending it instead of shooting way too high with trying to defend multiple SMW titles at a higher weight, we might have seen a more successful twilight career for him.
Should have fought the unbeaten Bute. Would have knocked him out. Fighting AA makes $en$e, but doesn't interest me at all. Bika? That would be war! Best fight for him is rematch against Froch if/when Froch beats Bute again. Alternatively, Bute.
Pavlik is a tall straight up opponent, doesnt move his head much Bika is wild and un orthodox and tends to bend the rules in fights Niether of them are carbon copies but they do share some common traits
The guy has the ultimate non nickname "viking warrior". they are known for their toughness.... this guy is more brittle than a 90 year old man, the only thing left for him to hurt is his ****ing hip
when he was on a roll with his ego being fed by remaining undefeated, he was a tough guy who liked to get stuck in. Somethings missing now that hes been taken down a peg, and I'm not sure if its his spirit or physically or even both but hes not the same man. Well, hes a bit older, but not by much, so thats why I think the problem is more mental than physical. When he had his mind set a few years ago, he liked to brandish that Viking bravado. Perhaps that was part of the problem, the belief that he was some super norse thing that led to him absorbing a lot of punishment and bringing about his current injury prone period. Perhaps if he had been more technical and cautious then he;d have lasted longer, such as not taking the Cal fight in England, or getting a rematch clause for it to prove he could get his titles back of Joe in Denmark. If he hadnt been so cocksur, maybe he;d been a different Kessler now.
No. Calzaghe took his soul. After that Kessler took Froch's soul. = Ward has a terrible resumé considering only of shot to **** leftovers. And now he is fighting Pascal's leftovers and even has to drain him to a raisin and drag him to jOakland. What a warriour Ward is.
