About it being risky, one thing people don't think about is what if Martinez can't make 154? Say Pac signs for the fight at 154 and Martinez comes in at 156 (which he recently said was as low as he could go), what do they do? If they cancel the fight, there's six months wasted and no-one gets paid. If they go ahead with it, Martinez gets even more of an advantage. They'd need a clause for him to give up like 75% of his purse to make sure Martinez gets down there even if he has to starve himself. Martinez really should've fought Dzinziruk at 154 to prove he could get down there and atleast take that part of the risk out of the equation, not only for Pac, but Cotto and Mayweather who'd also want as fair a fight as possible being much smaller guys.

The only people thinking it is unrealistic are pac haters who aren't giving him the credit he deserves.

Every man and his dog can see he is too good for welterweight. Hell he'd most likely smoke old mayweather if they ever decided to fight.

He battered a punching bag in margo for a 154 belt. Some people tip margo to make a splash at the division by beating cotto, suddenly pac's cherry picked opponent would be looked upon a lot more favourably.

If you still after all pac has achieved do not believe he has the tools to be one of the premier lightmiddleweights in the world, then you are just hating as far as i'm concerned.

The thread states 154. If martinez is willing there is no reason why pac shouldn't be. Martinez is the only guy in and around the weightclasses that would be a favourite over pacman. The likes of angulo, alvarez, cintron would give him competitive fights. But anyone at 147 is gonna get smoked. The division just isn't what it once was. The most prime opposition would be andre fukin berto.

So guys stop hating, pac has proved you wrong before and i'm sure he'd do it again!

well if the fight is made at 154 that's four more pounds martineze has to lose for the day of the weigh in and i know if offered he'll agree to do it at 154 even if he has to work harder to do it

    :hat

Pac has never been a superflyweight champ. He skipped that division as well as the bantamweight after losing the flyweight belt through the weighing scale.

I remember alot of people thought DLH vs. Pac was a joke of a fight... well here we go again folks.

I will never doubt manny pacquiao... he could go up and give martinez a good fight, I will even say he beats him. PAC UD!!

It's only a 20 lbs difference, right? No, it's not too much! Weight division in boxing is actually absurd, don't you think so?:patsch

So you're just gonna ignore the fact that they said Pac was going back and staying at WW IMMEDIATELY after the Margo fight? :patsch

Agree :good Pacs done it before, taking on the bigger guys is pacs bread n butter. Pacs has faster hands, better feet & better a puncher :deal

It would be a war @ 154, Pac would get hurt badly. If Pac wins he would be one of the greatest .Pacs is crazy enough to think about it, look at the vid of him watching martinez :boxx

No. It's not. Martinez is too skilled, combined with how much larger and stronger he is than Pac.

Arum and Pac would never take the fight.

They dont need to for multiple reasons.
