Pac has alot more chances to be in the top 5 ever than Floyd.

8 titles in 8 divisions, 7 if you don't really count the 154lb title which is still a record.

If he fights on for another 2-3 years, beats Floyd, beats Berto, beats a couple of up and comers who go on to have great carreers themselves, and continues to win in dominating fashion, barely dropping a round, like he has been doing lately.

Then he just might be top5 when all is said and done. Alot of people already have Pac inside their top20

I don't see any way Floyd could reach that point.

  3. a win over berto would do nothing for manny's legacy.

You know how I've lost the respect I had for Pacquiao after his bogus excuses the first negotiation go around with Mayweather that has me totally convinced he's a cheat......

......but yeah, I think he's stepped up to the plate more than Mayweather has........

I'm not one of those that have overly critiqued Pacquaio's recent opposition lately.

DLH, Hatton, Cotto, and Clottey are fine with me.

I do however think that in order to justify a top 10 alltime ranking he has to beat a bonafide elite skilled fighter......I only see two around his weight class at the moment, Mayweather Jr. of course and Paul Williams.
Pacquiao beats either one of those, and thats a resume to rank with the best ever.

i gained alot of respect for pac when he told floyd to **** himself unlike whoring himself like the **** drinker, marquez the golden boy ***** went up in weight in a fight he knew he has no chance of winning just for the money, he will probably do alot more than just fight floyd for money

    like this...

"Truth"?? Truth is NO ONE knows if Floyd would have accepted to fight Manny even if during the first round of negotiations PAC agreed to all of Floyd's demands like he did during the 2nd round.

Based on what we see before us now most would think NOTHING PAC accepted would have been enough to get Floyd in the ring.

Bottom line the fight shouldnt' have needed "SPECIAL" demands or baseless allegations from either side in order to "Attempt" to make the fight reality.

PAC accepted ALL of Floyd's demands during Round 2 of negotiations, simply calling Floyd's bluff and sure enough Floyd came up with anther obstacle in making this fight reality.. Citing..."VACATION".:rofl

Floyd uses Xylociane...he doesn't feel his hands during fight! Plus Floyd has said he hasn't had ANY hand problems since hooking up with his current corner man who wraps his hands.:good So That's not FLOYD'S EXCUSE not to fight...that's YOUR excuse in DEFENSE of Floyd.

The only reason why the fight has NOT happened is simple. Floyd doens't want the fight. Nothing more, nothing less. If Floyd REALLY wanted it he wouldn't have made up the allegations....he wouldn't have demanded unprecedented Olympic Style Testing...he wouldn't have went on vacation and he wouldn't have lost his "URGE" to do what he does....which is FIGHT.

The Tax bull**** is exactly that...BULL****. Bush's TAX bill actually would have enabled Floyd to take home MORE of his money had the fight come off this year vs NEXT year when the Bush Tax bill will no longer be in effect.

Plus.....Floyd is already in the highest Tax bracket there is. He'd be taxed in the same fashion as he would if he had 20 fights. So there really wasn't any GOOD reason not to fight unless he really did lose his urge all the sudden.

I saw a Pac interview on tv right after the first failed negotiation where he said that he believes Mayweather will still throw obstacles should he agreed to the 14-day cutoff. After the second negotiation, Pac said that he agreed to all of Mayweather's demand just to see if he would indeed be willing to fight. We know how that ended...

ps: floyd is a ducker, immature, child like, insecure and racist so dont give me that flommo bull**** ok. thank u :hi:

Right before Arum announced the Clottey fight, Mayweather went public about his proposed 14 day in comparison to Pac wanting 24 days.....
"If they accept 14 days, the fight is on!"
......it was all over the media, all team Pac had to do is say, "we accept, now lets sign."

......but thats not what happened. The Pac team went on about Pac and his weakness to having blood drawn so close to the fight. That at 14 days Pac would be at his most intense part of his training and that they did'nt want blood being drawn at that point.

.....If the Pac team thought Mayweather would have put more obstacles even if they accepted the 14 days, they sure as hell would have made Mayweather out to look like a running coward if they had took Mayweather's word and accepted the 14 days.

If at that point Pac had said yes to 14 days, Mayweather would have been boxed in with no way out, without looking like a complete clown.

the ped allegation was a stroke of a genius. it provided a way out of the fight and at the same time casting doubts on the achievements of pac.

Not necessarily, Pac could just be getting old.. his combinations don't seem as brisk and abundant since his lighter days..

Negotiations are back and forth....If Floyd wanted the fight he would have went to 18 days. He didnt want the fight and PAC knew it so he gave him some time to think about it. Floyd fought Shane, dominated...and his confidence should have been sky hight.

PAC fought Josh, dominated and was ready for Floyd...he accepted all the demands and Floyd proved what most already knew...he never really wanted to fight PAC. Most think he's afraid of losing. His actions surely point us in that direction.

Mayweather was "Boxed" in during the 2nd round of negotiations and he found a way out. You can't make a man do what he doesn't want to do. Floyd is a perfect example of that.
