Anyway Mundine has never dieted in his life and do you know why they call him choc? Mundine is fighting at 154 in 3 weeks for the IBO JM title.

Hes needs to come back to MW to fight the winner of the aussie contender in March. He will make 154 without any problems and will be eating Pasta 1 day before the weigh in.

I guess KP can keep fighting Espino type fighters for $500,000 or fight Mundine for $4,000,000.....but its Australia mate he may not want the $4m because hes scared......I mean.....of the plane flight

 

Well, you seem to think the fight has to happen there. I'm assuming there is a reason for that.

Bottom line, what has he done at MW to deserve a shot? His title was gifted him in my opinion.

 

The reason is the fight in the states is just another fight....bring Pavlik to AUST to fight Mundine and it turns into a mega fight......big $$ is the reason.....40,000 people will go through the gates if this fight is in AUST......if its in the states 7,000.

Mundine beat Geale in a close fight.....not gifted to him....he sat Geale down in round 2 and that was the difference.

Is it about number 1 contender for Pavlik?
Is it about the big fights?
Or is it the big money fights?

Mundine would be rated top 10 in MW....thats good enough for a shot.

The media quoted that that all wrong....when asked about his view on the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraqi and the 911 disaster....this is what he did say.

Mundine hates war and killing and that's a fact....he's very proactive in the community to get people off the booze and drugs.

For the record both the wars and 911 was a disaster.

He went on to say the same thing about Australia because of our involvement in the war.

No. Another Aussie in another thread giving the 'down under' version of the facts of boxing. I'll concede 1 and 3 on your list if it makes you feel better.

No chance, it was nonsense from the very start. It didn't add up. Williams just benefits from this conceived wisdom that he's universally avoided. Maybe by welterweights because he's awkward for them but why the hell would Kelly Pavlik who is middleweight champ and damn near the same size as him avoid him when he's fought plenty of bangers and B-Hop at 170?

Never added up for one minute. Worst case scenario is they didn't want to fight Williams YET until they tasted the hand out, which by the way obviously was an issue.

 

Paul Williams is officially back in protective custody. Dan Goosen claims Williams never signed to fight in 2008. That's fine, but does not change the fact that KP had already started training for Williams when they priced PW out of the fight.

Now Goosen, who officially okayed the Dec 5th 2009 date based on his own personal analysis of KP's medical records, denies the Dec 5th date was ever official. He claims PW never signed for the fight.

As of right now Goosen says Williams will fight anybody from 147-160, but they won't fight Pavlik unless it's a 50/50 co-promotion. Sorry pal, but the champ dictates the terms, not the challenger. Like I said, PW is now officially in protective custody.
