If you renamed the thread, it would have a bit more credibility.

Not shot, just not as good as advertised very limited and one dimensional he'll get away with it against most fighters but not the very elite.

He beat Taylor twice, is everyone forgetting this? I would have said he was somewhat elite when Pavlik defeated him. It was simply just a bad match up stylistically for Pavlik. I'd still say just because Hopkins beat him, doesn't make him free game for every other fighter..

Taylor isn't very good either, Spinks beat him clearly and got robbed.

I scored both Hopkins Taylor fights for B-Hop to, he clearly got robbed cause they wanted a younger face as champ, hw many "very elite" fighters are there around his weight?

Not very many so he'll probably go back to blasting average fighters out in 4/5 rounds and become hyped again.

This loss is a positive thing for pavlik. It means he has to go back on work on his technique and boxing skills, as he now realises that against the truly eilite his flat track bully power is not enough. This loss means that Pavlik will improve and become a better fighter, it does not harm his legacy either.

He still the champ and he's still young. He has plenty of more big fights in his future.

Americans are prone to the 24 hour U-turn. A fighter is the secnd coming then he loses and he`s bum, never was that good, overrated etc etc... The Euros find this behaviour very entertaining.

Not exactly, but if it happens, many so called boxing fans will say that BHop has broken Pavlik like Pavlik has broken Miranda (which is not true imo).

To make that clear: I like Pavlik, but I think it was dead wrong to fight BHop before AA. Such a huge loss will take a lot of self-confidence from him. He probably has to regain his self-confidence and to choose AA as his next opponent would be the false move against this background.

Is Pavlik shot? This thread is shot, it passed it's prime after the OP.

The man's 26, depending on what kind of mentality he has, this fight could help him reach his prime.

Shot may be the wrong term, but a little provocation here and there... :)

I agree it depends on his mentality and yes, maybe his best is yet to come, but his career also could go down the drain now.
