is Pernel Whitaker Overrated?

Why because Carlos enjoyed picking on featherweights? Nah Napoles didnt need to pad his record beating midgets, he choose to fry bigger fish at welterweight instead. Napoles doesnt need names on his resume like elorde, ramos, and brown at the end of his career. He would rather clean house at a bigger division. Too bad carlos was chicken and didnt want anything to do with him.

 

Yeah at least urbina was a lightweight, napoles was making 128-1333 on same day weigh ins, hes the same size as chavez. I never took those fights off carlos, but beating hedgemon lewis, menetry, etc at significantly higher weight classes is more impresiive than picking on names like elorde, ramos. What would napoles gain by bullying them?

 

How can I downplay whitaker when hes overrated to the moons on this website. Its like you dont even acknowledge it. Swarmers wont bother him, sluggers wont bother him, boxer-punchers wont bother him. Pernell is just invincible against every style because of the way he beat the haugens and braziers.

 

Okay this post just proves you dont know ****. Beating a top ranked welterweight is way more impressive than beating haugen and definetly way more impressive than beating a washed up camacho. Im done, you really dont know anything. All you do is look at names, chavez would have had losses left and right at welterweight, don king knew it, so kept chavez where he belonged. Beating Hedgemon Lewis and Ernie Lopez is a much bigger accomplishment than beating haugen. What a joke. Theres wieght classes for a reason you dumb ******. These pretty names would lose to the top guys at bigger weights, which is why ortiz and chavez stayed below. But keep living in your romanticed world where you believe they would hang at 147.

 

Why did Ortiz drop from 140 to 135 after losing twice to Loi, hmm maybe he knew his limits and realized he would have a handful of losses at 147 and never be champ, yeah i think thats it. Getting a few featherweight names on his resume cant hurt either.:good

 

Actually it is an incredible achievement, you just have trouble acknowleding it because those guys dont have alpha soup belts on thier name. Dominating a traditional 8 weight class against bigger guys is way better. Stopping curtis cokes twice far eclipses anything chavez ever did. Napoles wins over hernandez and perkins are better than chavez's best wins. Chaves's best win was going to be a loss if it wasnt for richard steele and you bark on and on about perkins being robbed even though theres no evidence except eddie's mouth. Comparing haugen to lewis and lopez, i cant stop laughing. Chavez beat a bunch of tijuana cab drivers. Lou Duva sure praised chavez competition.
