I even like Ike's resume better myself... Problem is, I just don't see how Ike is a bad matchup for Pea... I think it's the total opposite actually.
Maybe. Impossible to tell since we have no footage against a fighter like Joyce  a fighter Williams had a lot of trouble against. Salas as well.
Lauro Salas wore eye patches into the ring against Jimmy Carter. This happened. Just didn't want people to forget.
Cokes had a better career, but on the night Chavez faced him Taylor was a demon. He fought much better than Cokes did against Napoles.
Just because it's fantasy head to head, doesn't mean anything goes. I can kind of see how it does for you, because you're basing it on no actuality what so ever, but I like to base it on some evidence in actuality. E.g. weaknesses a fighter has shown, things that can be expoilted etc. I think Chavez does well against Floyd for example, because Floyd is not great at bodily defensive work and has taken a lot of body punishment throughout his bouts to some lesser likes and been run close. Body work is Chavez's forte. That's a head to head match up with reference to something in reality. You're saying you perceive that Pernell would have trouble with swarmers - based on what? Your desire to see him get taken down off his pedestal? Your desire to bring Napoles' stock up? You haven't offered anything in the way of analysis, which of course renders your opinions not even worth conceiving let alone discussing.
Some of those people are beyond help. The gap between their effectiveness defensively is miniscule to how much Duran makes you pay when you miss. Chalk that up to natural attributes all you want, but he's a better fighter than Floyd. And arguably Whitaker too. Turns Floyd into a shrieking human pretzel.
Williams had trouble with quite a few movers. You can add Bolanos and Mouzon to the list. The solid-ish cutesy types like Dawson and Carter also gave him fits. He claimed he got a boxing lesson of Tippy Larkin as well, (despite knocking him out in the 4th - can probably put that down to Tippy's soft chin somewhat). Ike is indeed not one of the fighters most likely to beat Whitaker. Ushvinder is just going off resume and "fantasy" in the true sense of the word. :good
