Povetikin is going to surprise everyone.

This is going to be the Ali-Frazier like series that gets everyone to stop talking about how crappy the divison is.

I cannot prove that he has an excellent chin because of his opposition thus far, but just watch his mental toughness and will in his fights; that you cannot deny. Its like JMM; his chin isn't bad, it isn't great, but he gets up and recovers cause he is a mentally strong fighter with excellent stamina. I think he will end up like JMM; if he goes down he WILL get up and recover almost immediately

Wlad is stronger than Povetkin but Povetkin is much better in close quarters. He is a pressure fighter (swarmer) that WANTS to get inside and unload flurries. I think Wlad will want to box him from the outside and try to not get on the inside where he knows Povetkin scores points and does his damage. You kind of contradict yourself when you say that he will wear Povetkin down by clinching but then utilize foot movement and left hand to keep space---which one is it? Like I said, I see Wlad keeping his distance and being the usual cautious fighter which plays to Povetkins swarming style if he can close the distance fast and stay away from the right hand

They are against the Wlad fight because it is very early in his career and they want to perfect a few things (head movement mainly) before they rush to Wlad. Can't say I disagree with them as I would much prefer that Povetkin took more fights after Sykes before going straight to Wlad

    1 year? :yikes

I usually like doing 1-3 month avatar bets. Lets let this fight come off first.

And BTW don't bull**** me; I know that you just don't want Povetkin to dethrone Wlad because you want him all for Peter :yep

:yep wlad is not a featherweight....hw is a whole different ballgame. but yes i agree, u can tell povetkin has a lot of heart and desire. wlad will have to put him out cold or force a corner/ref stoppage because povetkin will not give in. wlad cannot come in off his game and must fight intelligently. povetkin is certainly a dangerous opponent. however, i believe wlad has enough experience and skill to take advantage of povetkin's defensive liabilities.

i believe povetkin may be the best fighter wlad has ever faced. however, i think povetkin's style is tailor-made for wlad.

he can do both. clinch at times and move at others. that's what he does.

i got a feeling peter will self-destruct before we see a rematch

Well your definitely not alone there. I'm in the minority on this one. I really wish he could fight Wlad at about 20 fights anyways....

It is and it isn't. They are contrasting styles, and as I said earlier Wlads style plays into Povetkin as much as Povetkins plays into Wlad IMO

I had a feeling thats what you meant, but I just doubt Wlad will want to clinch with Povetkin. About the best thing he can do is sit back and let Povetkin come into his right, I just have a gut feeling that Povetkins camp will have this problem figured out since EVERYONE knows Sasha is open to the right which is Wlads best punch. If the guy could just develop some head movement; even minor.......

Too many hamburgers or what? :rofl

Vitali is certainly a live threat if he isn't injured.....which is a bit of an oxymoron

He was obviously affected by Chambers. It is difficult to believe that he will survive Klitschko's power.

I love how people are comparing Chambers' handspeed to Waldo's.

Oh well. We've been down this road already and I don't feel like doing it again. Keep dreaming! :rofl

It works both ways. Wlad had never been with anybody as tireless and talented as Povetkin.

He is still learning at the pro level. And I am usually not one to make excuses but he had THE FLU for the Chambers fight. I am actually really glad he was sick and had a mediocre performance though; people will be in for a rude awakening :yep

I truely believe that Povetkin's consistant workrate will be the key to beat Klitschko...Of course , Wlad could knock him out at anytime but povetkin's workrate + endurance/consistance will give him a serious chance. (that is , if he doesn't get knocked out)...Since Pov has no KO power , he can always hope for a decision...and if the fight goes to a judge Dec...then he has a real chance.

He also tends to land a lot of body punches...so who knows...maybe he can find a way to end the fight earlier..but i doubt it

You're so right, Wlad's handspeed is def. better than Chamber's..........:yep

Wlad's 1-2 is probably the fastest combination of any current Heavyweight.

Povetkin's tenacity & punch output are quite astounding for a Heavyweight fighter.

Chambers hit him with lost of right hands. I c Wlad backn up povetkin and knocking him out. Povetkin will not be able to deal will Wlads speed and overall toughtness. If Wlad was had a mental weakness he would have lost to Peter and all the other undefeated fighters he has beat in the last couple of years.
