i feel like mayweather's shot are much crisper. mayweather also showed killer instinct early in his career, can't say the same for rigondeaux, who fights like a ***** fight after fight.

 

Rigo has excellent skills but he seems to adhere yet to his amateur mindset: precise controlled punches that score on the computer and don't give the other boxer like opportunities. It's got him through nearly 300 amateur bouts. Maybe Rigo just doesn't buy into the idea that he needs to excite the paying public when on the pro scene; he's had a whole career where that never mattered.

I am not saying the TS is right but I am not sure how anyone can say their styles are nothing alike, clearly they are very similar. If you're going to dispute the thread starter than at least make sense.

 

I'm not sure if he's a better version but this sport is all about proper management and promotion. You could be the most skilled and physically gifted athlete in the world, without the right promotion and management guiding you to public recognition you're as good as nothing.
