Just read a thread about rigo better than mayweather, the truth is he is, but every fighter in cuban at the top level is exceptional and many cubans are better than mayweather and are the best, people need to realize pro boxing is a bussiness but mayweather couldn't beat guys like kindelan etc their far too good.
Its unfortunate that most of the world dont know it, but the true fans do, although over time as more top cubans defect ppl may relaize it!
You're entitled to your opinion. In 45 fights Mayweather has faced nearly every style in the pros, multiple times. He has really proven his ability to adjus.t. Rigo is VERY skilled. But, he also only has 12 pro fights. There is more to see. Yes, I know he was a great amateur. But, this is not the amateurs. From a pure boxing standpoint, he may indeed be more skilled. But, there is more to it than that.
We'll see, it shouldn't really be about these guys defecting - leaving their families and friends behind, but about a gradual merging of the pro and amateur sports. For all that it may be riddled with favouritism and corruption at least the amateur sport has regular competitions which pit the best against the best - something which pro boxing should take note of. I'm watching the progress of AIBA events like the WSB (where the Cubans have entered a team for the first time this season) and Pro-AM with great interest, cos' they offer a more credible matching system whilst the guys are actually getting paid for their efforts. For anyone who has an interest, the WSB has free live webcasts of all their competitions where you can get to see the top amateur talent matching off. http://www.aibaboxingtv.com/?utm_source=edm1&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=welcome
What is better though? They might be more skillful and faster than him, but Mayweather could be smarter han them When people are in different weight divisions its hard to tell whos better, if Mayweather and Rigo were in the same division whos to say that Mayweather doesnt control the whole fight with his right hand lead, we can never tell Its just like Broner looking good then he faces Maidana nothing worked against Maidana, you cant really tell whos better unless they fought
lmao. you think floyd would fight rigo if they are in the same div? he didnt fight pac. end of story. stop with this bull**** fantasy ****. rigo looked skillful against donaire. castillo beat floyd. floyd looked smarted agains...ortiz? lmao. skills = competition. floyds competition =****. maybe you should talk about ppv instead.
Pacquiao isnt even elite it isnt a duck, Pacquiao lost to Marquez who Chris John beat John schools Pacquiao like Bradley did
lmao. bradley and marquez turned down 2x money for waht again? easy fight again? pac easy money. pac not elite. says teh *****s. yet the guy supposed to be p4p1 is too scared.:hi: pac shatters floyd china.:deal
It is obviously impossible to make a direct comparison (which is what makes P4P lists somewhat ridiculous in my mind) - all that can really be done is compare resumes (where 122/126 are simply not as deep - or popular - divisions as 147 / 154) or do the Mark I 'eyeball' test - which is useful, but notoriously subjective. What I do find amusing is that many of the same FMJ fans who defend Floyd for being vastly more skilled than his opponents criticise Rigo for utterly outclassing his opponents, but being 'boring' as he does it. For me both are masters of the art - I ain't a huge fan of either but appreciate what they do and how good they are at it. Which one is better P4P - dammit, although Floyd is more proven in the pro ranks, my MK1 eyeball says Rigo may be the more skilled, for all it matters. The guy ain't gonna earn 10% of what Floyd will, however, no matter what he does at this point.
