Roy is broke as hell. Roy is a sad story for sure. He no longer has the speed to protect his glass jaw. He will get koed again trust me. I agree. He has a good job with HBO. So he is making some money. Sad he never got a Dela Hoya, Mayweather like payday.

 

Apparently he made somethihg like $3 million against Danny Green only 2 and a half years ago. I've heard that losing to Green cost him big in the Hopkins rematch. Still, he doesn't have to be broke to be fighting for money. He's at the end of his career and probably feels like his retirement fund might as well be as big as it can be. There's also what's he's on record as saying, a Cruiserweight world title would mean he'd won world titles from every weight from middlewight to heavyweight. There's always the chance that he loves boxing and this achievement is important to him.
