He has the fastest reaction time of the modern era, in my opinion. Ali runs him close p4p.

i'd say yes as a combination of power and speed but no when it comes to just speed alone

Fair point. I think Jones is underated as a composite puncher, he made my all time top 20 in that deparment. I think Ring had him in the 90's.

i agree but mostly because paz didn't belong in that ring ha ha he holds the record for not landing a single punch in a round ! Jones went an entire round without being hit once !

I was just watching some NAZ clips, I dont know who is faster head to head, but Jones was more effective by far. Naz got hit way more than Jones did. Naz was dropped numerous times and took a lot more shots where as hardly anybody landed anything big on Jones until the Tarver fights.

Yeah his combos werent just flurries as someone pointed out. He could throw those combos with full power at top speed.

Guys like Leonard could put together insane flurries dependong on what they wanted to do, but they would sacrafice some power for speed when doing so.

To me Mayweather doesn't come close to Leonard ..The only time I really saw Floyd's true speed was against the human punching bag in Gatti ..At 130 he let his hands go but to me nothing like what SRL dispalyed against the likes of Hagler ,Herans ,Duran etc ..

I say Jones as well, especially when he's a natural 168 pounder (in his prime), and all the others mentioned (Meldrick, Camacho, Leonard, Judah etc...) started their career at or WELL below 147...

    That says something.

His chin is one of the fastest to turn his lights off when meeting a legit LH.
