Spot on. There's a reason that punching to the back of the head is a foul and it should not be tolerated. Holding is also illegal but no one ever got permanant brain damage from holding alone.
Great post NBT, with illustrations no less :good In both those "knockdowns" Sam is clearly aiming for the back of the head. He's a crude fighter that gets frustrated with good boxers because his skills are very limited & primitive. I hope Jameel McCline beats him a new ass....................
Look at that incompetent doofus ref allowing all that to transpire :-( Never once does he appear to be stepping in to control the action.
To the Wlad haters, he "allowed" Wlad to clinch too much  The 2nd "KD" is a blatant double foul for rabbit punching while your opponent is down. And hard to forget the double rabbit punch vs JT. Bigcat I have not been a Sam hater - I've viewed him in a fairly unbaised manner. You make some valid points regarding other name fighters, but pointing to fouling by other fighters should not excuse Sam from his fouls. No more than the obsessive compulsion many have about Wlad's "excessive" clinching (the same loons who rank Ali at or near #1 :nut ), which is driven by transparently obvious agendas against Wlad :-( Me too, so I don't complain much when LL pulled that move on Grant. Seriously, it's a moot point as LL was handily winning that fight before the hold and uppercut KO :yep
Wlad is just as guilty of excessive holding as Peter is for hitting behind the head, just that Wlad holds way more than anyone else fouls in the sport.
**** those illustrations, they are deceiving. Anyone who has access to the video can clearly see that Sam's forearm did not push Waldo down on that first knockdown. Waldo ate a big left hook and was on his way to the canvas and spiraled to the side. Sam tried to catch him with another hook (hence first photo) and missed, and came back with a right hand as Waldo was falling to the floor. Get the tape and see for yourself. NBT is clearly into selective photography to service an agenda.
He is but you aren't :huh Show some photo stills of Wlad "turning away" from Peter then. I've seen the fight a few times & on one occasion Wlad looked to the ref for some help against Peter's tactics and Peter jumped on that moment to score a foul!
Yeah, that's why his head in the 2nd shot is much higher than in the first, "because he was on his way to the canvas" ****ing brilliant. :yep
Hey, but we should just take his word right?! Why should he need to post photo evidence of his point? Ambition_Deaf is as honorable as they come and would never post any bias-ridden ****...................
Because he has no point. :yep The "big left hook" he is talking about was a glancing blow near the ropes. Wlad retreated back to the centre of the ring where he ducked to avoid one of Peter's left jabs. The rest of the scene happened like I described earlier.
