Last time I looked a week ago the fight was on the line up. Now it's not.

Anyone got details as to why it's off ?

Eubank's obviously scared of Saunders which is why it was difficult to get the fight made. It's obvious Eubank and his overrated old man didn't want this.

I have to say I like them both, both young British fighters and hope whatever happens they both go on to be very successful.

I know many crazy things are said before fights but I think Eubank Jr and the people around him have played this very well, Saunders is the one making statements about retiring if he loses, He'll get beaten with a chain if it goes 6 rounds, he is putting pressure on himself.

Saunders has also said "The ref is going to have to pull me off him", Saunders is a very tidy boxer but is already talking about brawling, this plays into Eubank Jr's hands in my humble opinion because now fans are turning up to see a fight and if Saunders does not fight toe to toe will fans turn on him? will it now look like he is running after the boasts?

If you are going to make bold statements you have to back them up.

I'm sure a certain promoter made those irrational comments about retiring if Enzo Mac lost to David Haye fight. But apparently due to public demand he didn't. And boxers have unlimited excuses to perform a u-turn, 'problems in the camp', 'problems at home', 'couldn't get the weight off' etc. It's a crazy thing to say and few stick to it.

Good post. I think Saunders should think carefully about more promises to retire and all that.

It wouldn't surprise me if Eubank pulled out. Saunders isn't a 17-8 plumber from Slovakia afterall and that's who Eubank usually feeds on.
