Is September 17th to soon for Mitchell, Burns, Bellew, Gavin to return?

Where does it come from that DeGale is even popular? I've never heard a non-fan mention him or even a casual fan. The only fight he's been in that has gathered public interest was the Groves bout. Compared that to Froch, who has been on the BBC, ITV, PPV and Sky, it really isn't close.

I'd say DeGale is about as famous as someone like Murray. Only fans know of him right now. He isn't as famous as Mitchell.

 

I'm surprised that Fr@nk hasn't tried for this fight to happen, would be interesting.

 

Hatton was never on ITV or BBC so that blows that argument.

He's riding the Olympic storm like Khan taking into account all the media attention that came with it.

For me people there's only 3 boxers that most people I know usually tune in for. Haye, Khan and Degale in that order.

Show people a picture of British boxers and these 3 will be named correctly the most.

 

Generally you might be right but where Degale is concerned you are wrong,most people don`t like him,you should of been at the Haye -Klit press conference when the fans saw Groves and sang "he beat up James Degale,he beat up James Degale" and at their fight the noise from the crowd when Groves got the decision was amazing.Degale was booed going in the ring aswell.

People didn`t like Eubank either but the difference between them is Eubank was an interesting character.Degale won a gold medal but we won allot of golds at that games in other events and he has never been aswell known as some people would make out.I severely doubt Degale would get better viewing figures then groves and he would definantly not sell as many tickets on his own in a like for like fight .

 

I agree that he is hated, but he is still the bigger draw, when people refer to the Degale vs Groves match...... They refer it to the 'Degale fight' and that 'Degale lost' not 'Groves won'.

You even admitted Eubank was not liked but he was a draw, forget about characters or anything.

More people know him and more people ask about when he is fighting next then they do of Groves or even Frochy.
