I don't think Froch gets more fanfare for that reason. He's a British darling and is lauded for his toughness and good fights. Historians will almost certainly rank Kovalev higher when all is said and done for his reign(something Froch didn't have) and consistency. To reiterate though both are shoe ins for the IBHOF.
why do you write nope when you know froch retired in july 2015, and wards last defence was 2013? Why do you feel the need to lie to yourself so badly that 2 years means nothing to you? you should value 2 years my friend not pretend it doesntexist just tosuit your spite. I value your last 2 years on this forum!
I'm not sure he hates Joe as much as he would like us to believe. It's the only way he gets attention here; and here is the only place in his life he gets any attention at all...
to be accurate I have a profound dislike for wife abusers, thats all. You will find I direct ire at Mayweather just as often but he isnt under the same umbrella as calzaghe fans so they dont pick up on it. The actual fault is THERES, I am being completely consistent.
So Pascal was prime when Froch beat him although he went on to be a champion at a higher weight.... well what version of Kessler are you giving Froch props for beating?
This guy trashes Kovalev because he takes pleasure in Kovalev getting robbed against Andre Ward. Then says that Kovalev is worse than Froch. Even though Frochs best win is a past his prime, over the hill Kessler. The same Kessler who best win is Froch. So they basically beat themselves. Any two drunk fools could whoop each other ass. And Froch was never the man at a weight class. Kovalev was.
Also if Froch has ever dared to be great and stepped up against SK it’s a 6 round fight at best with Froch getting KTFO
Not really a smoking gun there. - Kessler was at the end of his career - Abraham is a blown up MW who never accomplished anything significant at SMW. He was a fake champion who hid in Germany milking defenses against domestic and European competition. - Bute was decent but lets be honest after his weak run of defenses lost to every name he stepped in with from Froch onwards. - Pascal was green when he fought Froch and that was his first foray into world class boxing. He became more seasoned as a LHW and while Kovalev probably didn't get the best version he definitely fought a better and more experienced one than Froch did - and he destroyed him TWICE in spectacular fashion. Granted Kovalev's wins can be picked at as well but that's not my main argument. Defenses, reign and consistency. Historians will value that as times goes on.
You are a dunce. Nobody values anything you have to say on here. You are universally viewed as a toxic poster and obsessed troll with nothing important to say.
Kovalev was never the man at 175. Stevenson was actually the man until he was relegated for fighting poor opponents. But he was still the number two. Kovalev was in the same position Joshua was prior to losing to Ruiz - unified champ , but not the man because neither of them beat the #2 in the division. So Kovalev never got higher at 175 than Froch got at 168.
really not true, kov made stevenson try harder, adonis was that embarrassed by his feats. but i agree froch was higher rated. he was the man after ward left same as kov was until ward turned up. ward is the daddy of both, strange thing.
u ran away, ok. like "cowardzaghe from froch"...there you got a justification for frothing back about joe now, dont say i didnt throw u a bone this time.
Anybody resume can be picked apart. I can pick apart Wards resume too, a guy I rate very high. You can do it to anybody. -Kessler was mentally broken after losing to Calzaghe. He lost to a guy who beat nobody of note his entire career. And Calzaghe was 34 and past his prime. Plus Kesslers best win is Carl Froch who claim to fame is a win over a nearly shot version of Kessler. -Froch was a bar room brawler who beat a paper champ in Abraham and green Pascal. Went life and death with Pascal. Beat a nearly shot Kessler for his best win. Easily beat Bute who was a hypejob. -Got a gift against Sergey Kovalev in the first fight. And then got away with illegal low blows in the rematch. Also waited until Kovalev was getting older and showed less dominance. Wanted no part of Kovalev before he started slipping against Chilemba. -Retired as the LHW division was heating up. Ducked Beterbiev and Gvozdyk.
I never said he wasn't. I said he wasn't the champion of the division because he never beat the other best guy in the division. If he had beaten Adonis he would have been the man , but he didn't.
