Good... That's what you get for talking nonsense and not paying attention to your crooked sidewalks. Froch still has more depth to his resume.
good but i believe they both fought pascal? Anyway, frochs resume speaks for itself, its a chain of world to elite.
Here ye, here ye. I'll be writing an article tonight addressing the who's greater Kovalev, Kessler and Froch.=, debate. And give the definitive answer.
Many don't even know what Kessler did before his loss to Calzaghe and then hyped him when Ward beat him later but don't know anything more about him other than the Froch fights. Kessler has a very solid resume of top SMW wins Mundine between SMW title reigns Beyer 3 time and reigning champ Siaca when champ Sartison future champ undefeated Lucas when world rated and former champ Andrade when world rated Haussler former European champ When faded Beat undefeated champ Froch and champ Magee
kov has a fair case for elite (or at least repeat titlist) pascal and that draw with surefire hof ward. froch has elite kessler, titlist bute and elite taylor as well as pascal. Groves is just the pudding. froch is ahead, just by sheer dint of aiming so high ever since he hit the world scene. He is not a great fighter ever but theres no questioning the respect he garnered and deserved for winning some of those high points. He carved out his own elitedom. Sergey is of course elite too, and stands very close.
Wdym when he finally stepped up? OG was a prospect going into the Stevenson fight, and he had fought tough competition before.
According to Boxrec these are the top 13 fighters in Light Heavyweight History: Archie Moore Roy Jones Jr Tommy Gibbons Joey Maxim Michael Spinks Antonio Tarver Bob Foster Billy Conn Tommy Loughran Dwight Muhammad Qawi Virgil Hill Harold Johnson Sergey Kovalev The records of the following men are too old to compare: Tommy Gibbons Joey Maxim Billy Conn Tommy Loughran Harold Johnson Archie Moore May has a record of 10-2 (5 KOs) in world title fights. May has a record of 8-8-1 (2 KOs) against former, current, and future world champions Roy Jones Jr Has a record of 22-3 (14 KOs) in world title fights. Has a record of 19-9 (8 KOs) against former, current and future world titlists. Michael Spinks Has a record of 14-1 (9 KO) in World Title fights. Has a record of 7-1 (2 KO) against former world titlists. Antonio Tarver Has a record of 3-3-0 (1 KO) in World Title fights. Has a record of 7-5-1 (2 KO) against former or current world titlists. Bob Foster Has a record of 14-1-1 (11) in World Title fights. Dwight Muhammad Qawi Has a record of 6-4 (6 KO) in World Title fights. Has a record of 8-8 (7 KO) against former world titlists. Virgil Hill Has a record of 24-5 (7 KO) in World Title fights. Has a record of 11-7 (3 KO) against former or current world titlists. Sergey Kovalev Has a record of 13-3 (10 KO) in world title fights. Has a record of 6-3 (4 KO) against former or current world titlists Sergey’s competition is a bit light compared to other former Light Heavy Weight greats, but he’s on par with Antonio Tarver. I personally would consider him a shoe in HOF, maybe an ATG for his weight class, not even close to ATG for top boxers ever to do it.
Tarver vs. Kovalev resume 1. Best win: Tarver by a mile (Jones II) 2. Harding, Johnson, Jones III, Griffin, Woods, R. Johnson, Green>Alvarez, Ancient Hopkins, Chilemba, Pascalx2, Cleverly Bad loses near prime: Kovlev stopped twice. Tarver looked like crap against Hopkins Titles: Tarver--4x 175 champ, was the man at 175 after beating Jones and Glen Johnson. Kovalev--3x champ, never ruled the division bc of Stevenson. Ams: Tarver by a mile Conclusion: Tarver's career is better than Kovalev's
