Mouth breather. He looks like he’s about to start drooling at any point.

Those symptoms don't manifest until much later. People are always calling hood fighters punch drunk.

He might just be stupid like many here already suggested, but then again Deontay Wilder is the dumbest guy in all of boxing but he doesn't sound punch drunk.

Maybe he has a speech impediment.

James Toney had a speech impediment to begin with which makes him sound even more damaged than he is.

Carl Froch sounds just fine but Wilfredo Benitez who was called "el Radar" for his anticipation of his opponents punches turned into a vegetable. Strange how that works out

Too young? Didn't he have over 400 AM fights. I would link you to Young punch drunk boxers and football players but I don't know where to start. CTE is no joke and only be examined after you're dead! If you type in stuff like 20 year old boxer/football/hockey player Cte concussion depression suicide etc way too many examples.

I wouldn't say it's impossible but I'd want to hear him before to compare. Lots of pros have hundreds of amateur fights and don't slur.

Fair enough, effects everyone's brain different tho. I'm interested to see how GD performs Saturday. I thought his chin looked shakey last fight in spots. If he gets past the slugger Cuellar unscathed I'll have more faith in him. I just have a feeling his chin is gonna get cracked and I had him at +150 vs Pedraza. I'd never make these claims on someone who can speak fluid and somewhat clever like Broner lol

He does definitely have a look of punch drunk about him but its hard to tell. Weather its that or hes just uneducated etc. Pretty sure he experienced some sort of trauma in his childhood. Some of his movements appears like he might well be suffering from punch drunkness. His reflexes sometimes shut down etc.

The kid has great potential but he,s gonna crash. Just isn,t developed enough to handle the situation hes in. That last performance was worrying. Hopefully he gets back on track Saturday tho. Hes a tremendous prospect at 23 but his style will come up short against a guy that can outwork him similar to what happened to broner. Just a pity mayweather got him...what I,ve seen of Floyd I think hell actually jeopardize him just so he can say see everyone another one that can't do what I,ve done. He gets jealous of them getting any sort of credit such is the mans insecurities. Hope its not the case but comes across to me like it could be.

Tanks attitude has, been worrying recently as well. I can see the wheels coming off. You can't just ignore the obvious problems he seems to have...and hope it doesn't come out in the end. Something just seems off with the kid. He shows signs of real ability tho...not sure he,ll get anywhere near to his potential in the end. If 400 amateur fights is true...not sure he could realize that potential anyway. That's a lot of fights.

It's more so his health I'm concerned about. I'm hoping tank retires young, he's young on paper but in boxing years seems like he's gonna burn out like Fernando Vargas

That was my immediate reaction after hearing him for the first time an interview (maybe he was). Then I went to the comments and other ppl were saying they think Tank is already displaying signs of CTE.
