    From Zuffadog website : http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/WEC-50-Payouts-Cruz-Earns-22000-26410

    WEC 50 Payouts

Dominick Cruz -- $22,000 (including $11,000 win bonus) def. Joseph Benavidez -- $17,500

Anthony Pettis -- $22,000 (including $6,000 win bonus, $10,000 submission bonus) def. Shane Roller -- $16,000

Chad Mendes -- $11,000 (including $5,500 win bonus) def. Cub Swanson -- $11,000

Scott Jorgensen-- $35,000 (including $12,500 win bonus, $10,000 FOTN bonus) def. Brad Pickett -- $17,000 (including $10,000 FOTN bonus)

Bart Palazewski -- $16,000 (including $8,000 win bonus) def. Zach Micklewright -- $3,000

Maciej Jewtuszko -- $16,000 (including $3,000 win bonus, $10,000 knockout bonus) def. Anthony Njokuani -- $7,000

Javier Vazquez -- $16,000 (including $8,000 win bonus) def. Mackens Semerzier -- $4,000

    I mean honestly ? 22k (11k +11k win bonus) for a title defence. I think that's 13K less then a loosing Chael Sonnen at UFC 117:patsch.

You guy's can say whatever you want, but that **** is ABSOLUTLY ****ED UP:nut:nut:nut !!

These guy's are suppose to be the elite. Someone growing plant in is basement is making double of that with less risk... !:happy:happy:happy

Yeah, it sucks. Especially since WEC is probably the most consistently entertaining MMA promotion.

arguments people make in defense of this are:

1 Pay them "too much" they will become complacent and wont fight as hard for their money.
2 $22,000 for 25 minutes of effort is great pay
3 As zuffa expands fighters pay will increase

    :hi:I call bull****!

my question is, how much does dana white make?
how much do the frettitas rake in?

If it dont make dollar$ it dont make sense.:bart

In addition to what Yaca says WEC ain't that big yet. I wonder how many MMA fans watch it. Even in boxing, the mainstream guys only recently started appreciating small guys. 155 in the UFC used to be a dead division.

They get $10k in bonuses for FOTN etc Cruz has won that before. Double your money and get a bonus.

Jorgensen got a $12.5k then doubled his money for winning and got a $10k bonus for SOTN. That is $35k, throw in sponsorship and in 15 minutes he has earnt more than the average Americans yearly salary (I think that is $32k).

Jorgensen has had 3 fights so far this year. Do the maths.

Fine man, but who cares ? is the training free ? MMa instructor free ? Dietetis ? Medical bill ? the gym free ? Does that kind of money enable the athlete not working and focusing on is training ? Is the WEC paying for the transport ?

And on top of that : who ****in cares if the WEC isn't as popular as the UFC, even though they make ****in better event most of the time ? It's own by the same compagny, by the same douchebag, the exact same income. Is it the WEC fault if most people are UFC zombi aren't interested enough to check other event ?

So because people are ignorant they must pay there fighter less then peanuts ?

And for the sponsorship I'd love to see those number at least once, I really wonder how much it if !
